I’m linking up with Top Ten Tuesday, which was created by The Broke and the Bookish and is now hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl. Check out upcoming Top Ten themes on Jana’s blog.
I love a good book cover, and it’s even better when the title’s typography is unusual and different. Today I’m sharing ten upcoming books with cool typography, and they are listed in alphabetical order by title. I’ll let these speak for themselves, with no commentary from me!

Something about the cover for Shy Girl grabs my eye every time I see it!
I love it too!
Oh The Mirror Halls has an amazing cover! I love that design.
It’s really cool, and now I might need to read it!
You featured some really unqiue typographies! I really like the one on Muneca!
Me too, the more I look at it, the more details I see (like the dripping blood!)
Amazing! I love Steed’s.
I didn’t have enough titles to display, so I did top 5 instead: https://wordsandpeace.com/2026/02/03/top-five-series-i-plan-on-finishing-reading-in-2026/
That cover seems to be a favorite!
Obstetrix has cool typography.
I agree, it’s so different from anything I’ve seen.
I really need to add Japanese Gothic to my TBR. I seem to be seeing it everywhere lately!
I’ve seen it everywhere too, and I’m so excited to read it. I missed her last book so I need to catch up!
The Intrigue and The Mirror Halls look awesome!
The Intrigue is very clever!
The Mirror Halls is so cleverly designed. I looked once and then had to give it more attention to ensure I’d ‘got’ it…
It really is! The cover definitely makes me want to read it:-)
Ooh, fab choices! I love the cover of The Mirror Halls. I’m excited to read Obstetrix, and that lettering is amazing!
The whole Obstetrix cover makes me want to read it!
The typography for Obstetrix is perfect!
Right? I love that one a lot.
Great list! I love how the text on The Mirror Halls emphasizes the open door.
Thanks! The Mirror Halls is so cleverly designed:-)
I think Japanese Gothic is my favorite cover even though the fonts are the most average of the lot. If I focused more on the typography I’d probably pick The Winter Folk.
Japanese Gothic is probably the one book I’m most excited to read on this list:-)
I love that cover for Japanese Gothic so much! I just finished up Morsel and enjoyed it but the story didn’t really match the cover which was a bit of a bummer.
Now I’m curious about Morsel!
I really love the whole cover for Muñeca. The cover for The Intrigue is so noir, I love it.
I’m so tempted to request Muneca, mostly based on the cover!
That cover of The Mirror Halls is SO cool! You found such fun covers for this week’s TTT. I love it. 😀
Thanks Lark! I do love that cover of The Mirror Halls.
These covers are gorgeous, not just for their typography but the full designs. They look amazing, and I especially love the Obstretrix cover!
Obstetrix is scaring me, mostly because of the cover, but also the subject matter…
The Mirror Halls is new to me and I loooove the cover (including typography!) so thanks for putting that one on my radar! I (thankfully) know of the others, but I fully agree, there are some lovely fonts happening here! I LOVE the way they did the title on Morsel, that may be my favorite!
Yes, I do love Morsel too! And The Mirror Halls sounds really good, in addition to having a cool cover:-)
I love that you narrowed down into upcoming books, so many of these look so exciting! The Mirror Halls is so cool I love how the letters open up!! And Morsel also looks amazing, i love how the letters make a plant-filled staircase.
I do love the way they did the Morsel title, it makes me want to read the book!
I find that horror has some of the best typographics.
I agree!
I really like The Mirror Halls
Thanks for sharing your #TTT
I do too, it’s very unusual!
Lovely selection of covers, Tammy! They do indeed all play with typography quite well. :O
Ooh I always love when features weave around the writing like on the cover for Morsel. I really like the way that the opening on The Mirror Halls affects its title too. And I’d completely overlooked the cigar going through the g when I added The Intrigue to my TBR, so clever.
Shy Girl. Love it.
Lynn 😀
These are all very distinctive and eye-catching! Great picks.
Happy TTT (on a Thursday)!

I can’t pick a favourite between Japanese Gothic and Muneca but all the books have interesting covers and I love all these different fonts!!
Some of these are really neat. I like it when the text is incorporated into the art, especially the Mirror Halls.
