Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer:-D
Despite the uncertainty of the LA fires, my daughter has left on her tour with Ben Barnes, and she’s having a great time! Tonight they’re playing in Denver.
Not much happening here. Monday is Martin Luther King Day and I’m happy because I have the day off work. I hope everyone is reading something good!
Upcoming reads & reviews:
I’m actually proud of myself this week, because I read two of my February review books! I decided “why wait?” when I have a book I’m really excited to read. That was the case with Wooing the Witch Queen and Greenteeth, and I loved both of them. Look for reviews of both this week. I’m currently reading At the Bottom of the Garden, which has a lot of mixed reviews. But so far I’m really enjoying it. After that, I have a few more January releases to tackle before the end of the month, and Cold Storage will probably be next.
Other posts this week:
I’m joining another Top Ten Tuesday this week, which is one of my favorite topics, Ten Most Recent Additions to My TBR; Wednesday is Future Fiction as usual, and I found some fun books to share; and I can’t believe it, but Saturday is the last Saturday of the month, and I’m sharing my January book haul.
In case you missed:
My posts from last week:
Adrift in Currents Clean and Clear by Seanan McGuire – Review 4/5 stars
The Way Up is Death by Dan Hanks – Review 4/5 stars
The Crash by Freida McFadden – Review 3.5/5 stars

Awww, Badger!! And yay for your daughter’s tour!! I am curious to read your next reviews (and I am excited about Green Teeth! I hope to stat that one pretty soon!!)
I hope you love Greenteeth as much as I did:-)
Excited to hear your thoughts on Wooing the Witch Queen!
It was so good!
I hope your daughter is having fun on her tour, and the fires will be out when she comes home. I also hope they keep staying away from you and your son!
At least your husband has Badger to take pics of while he’s not around the world :). I love the composition!
We’re fine with the fires, they are actually pretty far away. And thanks for the compliment about Badger’s photo. My hubby is going on a photo trip in about a week, but until then it’s pretty much Badger only photos:-)
Badger is looking majestic! Enjoy your books, Cold Storage caught my eye. I’ve been watching the news, it is so scary about the LA fires.
The fires are still scary for the people living in certain areas, and I think the wind is coming again today, which doesn’t help things:-(
Your daughter is touring with Ben Barnes, as in the actor?! Also, glad you liked GREENTEETH! I plan to buddy read it next month…it looks so good.
Yes! He’s just released his first solo album, so the tour is to promote it. He seems like such a nice guy, and I’m glad my daughter is having a good experience with the tour:-) Greenteeth was amazing!!
Very cool! I had no idea Ben Barnes is a musician.
I’m curious about Greenteeth, I have to remember to check it out… eventually. Someday. So many books, so little time.
I think I’m behind again on the Seanan McGuire series… Hmm. Good to see you enjoyed it, anyway!
Right? It’s impossible to keep up with everything. Greenteeth is a pretty special book, though:-)
So glad your daughter is getting to go on this tour! That is so exciting! Badger is adorable as always. I was thinking I was ahead on review books until I realized this week that I forgot to write one or two in my blog calendar when I switched over for the year, and so now I”m trying to catch up! Oops! Hope ou have a good week!
Thanks Lisa! Good luck catching up:-)
I am so happy that you loved Greenteeth! And I hope that your daughter will have fun on the tour!
My daughter is having a blast! And yes, Greenteeth is my first 5 star read of the year:-)
Enjoy your day off! Looking forward to your review of Greenteeth!
I’m writing my review today, and I can’t wait. I loved it so much!
YAY Badger. Also hoorah for Monday off. It’s going to be very cold here this week, around 30 for the high for 4 days and I hope to get caught up. It can’t be the end of January already!
January is going way too fast! But I guess that’s the way every month is these days…
That Badger photo looks so iconic! Majestic, as someone else mentioned.
He has learned how to pose for the camera, lol.
Yeah… how close are you to those fires, Tammy? And I’m glad you and your daughter are having a good week!
I’m not that close, so there’s no threat here. About 50 miles away. But just about everyone I know is much closer:-(
Yay for an extra day off! I am glad your daughter was able to go on tour and is having a great time. I really want to read Wooing the Witch Queen, and am glad to see you enjoyed it. I hope you have a great week, Tammy.
Thanks Wendy, I hope you get to read Wooing the Witch Queen, it’s so much fun:-)
I’m glad you enjoyed Wooing the Witch Queen, it looks so good!
It was amazing, and I’m glad it’s the start to a series:-)
Badger looks like king of the hill. He is such a fine-looking dog. Glad your daughter is having such a good time. All is well her except for the snow and cold. We have a three-day weekend as well and I hope to get lots of reading done tomorrow. I finally managed to get some puppy pics posted this week as well.
Thanks Barb! I hope we both get a lot of reading in today. I’m hoping to finish Beautiful Ugly.
Badger looking mighty handsome!
He is rather majestic:-)
Congrats on being ahead of the game!
Thanks! It’s a new feeling for me, lol.
I’m glad to hear your daughter is having a great time on tour. Wooing the Witch Queen has a great coverage title. I can’t wait to hear more about it. Happy reading!
I’m looking forward to your thoughts on Wooing the Witch Queen
Wishing you a great reading week
That photo of Badger is fabulous – he is such a handsome dog! And I’m delighted your daughter is enjoying her tour so much. I’ve just nicked across and requested Greenteeth on Netgalley – fingers crossed I get a copy. I hope you have a great week and are enjoying your day off work:)).
At the Bottom of the Garden sounds good so will look out for your review of that. Love this week’s pic of Badger
Right with you on Greenteeth. Started it today!
Badger is the king of the (sand) castle.
