April came and went in the blink of an eye! It was also a month where I sometimes struggled to focus, and I found myself starting and putting books down right and left. Because of that, I didn’t finish as many books as I wanted to, but the books I did read were all excellent! I didn’t rate anything under four stars, so I’ll call that a win. Here are the books I reviewed this month, and the titles are linked to my reviews if you missed them:
Nothing below 4 stars makes this a great month. I think I may have missed a couple of these reviews so am off to read them now 😀

I love it when everything is 4 stars or above, it doesn’t happen that often!
I’m reading Ghost Station right now and despite a somewhat slow beginning I’m quite enjoying it and waiting for the Inevitable Bad Things to happen… 😉

It is more of a slow burn thriller, but very creepy once you get to a certain part.
Looks like a great month — so many stars !! Glad you read such amazing books. I still have a few of these on my TBR, but I’m so bogged down with everything else I committed to reading.
I wish I could read more/faster, sigh. Oh well, at least what I read was good!
So I did not read any of these. My favorite books of April would be Funny Story by Emily Henry (Life Fiction), A Calamity of Souls by David Baldacci (Historical Fiction), and How the White Trash Zombie Got Her Groove Back by Diana Rowland (UF).

Lots of readers loved Funny Story, I may have to read it at some point.
I menaged to read The Redemption of Morgan Bright before the end of April, barely, and I loved it!!
That aside, you had a great reading month, yay!!
I’m glad we both loved Morgan Bright!
April went by so fast! And finally I can say, yes I read one of the books on your wrap-up and because of your review: Calypso. I really enjoyed it and didn’t expect that ending!
The ending was crazy, right? I loved it though.
I’m sorry you found yourself putting a few books down but it looks like the ones that you did read were fantastic. Hopefully you’ll find lots more of 4 and 5 star books next month too.
I feel like May is going to be another good month, fingers crossed:-)
Stellar reading month with nothing below 4 stars! Putting books down is a good thing, it helps not get in a slump. I had to put one down this month too.

I’m learning to put books down as soon as I notice I’m not enjoying them. And then sometimes I do pick them back up!
I’d have to reread your reviews to refresh my memory of which stories I’d most like to read, but based on your ratings combined with the covers I’m most drawn to The Gathering and Ghost Station. Glad to see these were all 4+ stars.
Both are excellent choices, very different but both have a lot of tension.
I had a slow reading month in April but I’m hoping for a productive May. I hope you have a great month!
I feel like May is going to be better:-)
4 stars and above for every book is definitely a win! Glad you had a great month and I hope you have another great reading month for May!
