Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer:-D
It was a busy work week, which made time fly by. I didn’t read much, but I’m OK with that. There’s always this week to catch up:-) Not much else to report, but I hope everyone has a good week with lots of good books!
Upcoming reads & reviews:
Last week was slow reading-wise. After finishing Bless Your Heart I decided to dive back into A Letter to the Luminous Deep, which I stalled on a few weeks ago. And now I’m really enjoying it, although it’s one of those stories that you read slowly and savor. Look for a review later this week. I’ve also started reading a few stories from The Dead Spot, which were pretty good, but I need to read more to see if this collection is going to work for me. After that, I’m jumping into my May reading pile, probably starting with The House That Horror Built and My Darling Dreadful Thing.
Other posts this week:
Tomorrow I’m sharing my April Reading Wrap-Up. I know, it’s a few days early, but I’m not going to finish anything else by the end of the month. Tuesday I’m sharing What’s On My Plate for May! And Wednesday is Future Fiction and three new cover reveals to share.
In case you missed:

It’s such a great cover, right?
Glad to hear a little time may have been all that was needed for A Letter to the Luminous Deep. I’ve always wanted to see and photograph quail, such a beautiful bird with all those colors and patterns. Kudos to Moses.
Thanks Todd. I guess quail are very fast and don’t stand still much, so I’m glad he was able to get this photo.
Beautiful photo! I’m looking forward to The House That Horror Built, hoping to start it in the next two weeks. Hope you enjoy!

I can’t believe it’s nearly the end of April already. I WILL finish some more books before the end of the month so I will do my month wrap up next Sunday. Happy reading!
Thanks Anne! One more day to go, I’m sure you’re finishing up one or two books today:-)

Thanks Lisa! So far The House that Horror Built is really good.
I really love the photo of the California Quail. It looks adorable!
It’s so cute, right? According to my hubby they are very skittish and hard to photograph, so I’m glad he got this photo.
What a lovely photo, the quail is so cute! I’m curious about Luminous Deep as I like the sound of the writing style so will look out for your review. Have a great week 😀
The writing style of Luminous Deep is tough to get into at first, but once you get the rhythm down, it’s hard to stop reading:-)
I hope you have a good week and get lots of reading done!

I’ve just started Luminous Deep and so far am enjoying it – though I’m not very far in. And that quail is absolutely stunning… I hope you have a great week – I still cannot wrap my head around the fact that April is coming to a close!
It will be fun to compare notes on Luminous Deep. I’m in awe of how she pulled that story together.
Look at that quail!! It is so beautiful!! And I am glad that you are enjoying A Letter From thr Luminous Deep after pausing it for a bit!
I’m writing my review today of Luminous Deep and I love reliving the story!

I’m currently reading The Familiar by Leigh Bardugo, which I’m enjoying but it’s heavier than expected. For that reason, I think the Christina Henry will be my next read. I need something fast paced!
