Buffy’s Corner 3/24/24 – Looking At the Week Ahead

Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer:-D

It’s early but I wanted to mention the blogging event Wyrd & Wonder, which is back this May to celebrate all things fantasy. Hosted by imyril @ there’s always room for one more (as well as a bunch of co-hosts who I will tag when I do my kick-off post), this is a fun, low-key event with no rules, only to have fun and geek out over fantasy books, movies, games, TV etc. The theme this year is “comfort zone,” and I think I can work with that:-) Click the link above or the image below to learn more about the event and join in!

Upcoming reads & reviews:

I’m scrambling to squeeze in more March releases this week, so my plan is to post three reviews. Tomorrow look for my thoughts on Diavola (absolutely loved it!). Later in the week I’ll post reviews for Floating Hotel and The Angel of Indian Lake. I’m still reading both books but I’m pretty sure I’ll be able to finish them and write up reviews. After that I’m diving into my April releases, starting with The Redemption of Morgan Bright.

Other posts this week:

It’s hard keeping up with all the cover reveals these days, so see which three books I’ve decided to share on Wednesday’s Future Fiction; and Saturday I’m wrapping up the month, so come and see a round-up of the books I’ve read in March!

In case you missed:

  1. Great pic! I am behind today, I had a busy weekend and haven’t even got my Sunday post up yet…ugh. Hope you have fun with Wryd and Wonder! 🙂

  2. I’m very attracted at the prospect of Wyrd and Wonder this year, given the emphasis on comfort reads:)). Given the ongoing dire news, it’s lovely to escape to a kinder world!! Have a great week and thank you for the lovely pic.

  3. I applaud you looking ahead to May and hope to get back to looking ahead like that. Still playing catch up at the moment, though. 🙂

I have to be in the mood for cozy anything. It’s nice to break up horror reads with cozy sci-fi or fantasy, I find.

  4. I’m super curious about your thoughts on Floating Hotel, having read Roberta’s thoughts and Shannon’s also. I think I’ll like it…

  5. The picture is beautiful as always! I always think about participating in Wyrd and Wonder, but right now I’m so packed with romance books for the SmartyPants romance latest releases as well as other books I signed up for, I know I won’t get anything extra. I’m behind this month on reading I feel, although I’ve read everything pretty much that I planned. Oh well! Have a good week!

  6. Thanks for the reminder about Wyrd and Wonder. I really should start thinking about it now since May is a busy month and I won’t have time to write many posts then. Scheduling posts in advance is so helpful!

  7. I’ve never done Wyrd & Wonder before but this year I’m really tempted by that cute graphic and the theme of comfort reads. It sounds like it should be really good, and I’m definitely in the mood for cosy reading 😀
