Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer:-D
Happy Saint Patrick’s Day! We currently have snow on the ground, but all our trees have buds on them, so we’re at that weird time where winter is hanging on but Spring is trying to break through, lol. I hope Spring wins! Have a great week, everyone.
Upcoming reads & reviews:
Hopefully by the time this post goes up I’ll have finished Three Kinds of Lucky. As I’m typing this, I’m about halfway through and really enjoying it. I still have a bunch of March releases to get to, including Diavola and The Angel of Indian Lake, and those are my priorities. I also need to look ahead at my April stack which is fairly big, and I’ll probably start with The Redemption of Morgan Bright. Look for at least once review this week (Three Kinds of Lucky), and I’ll try to read and review a second if I have time.
Other posts this week:
Have you ever ranked all the books you read in a year? I haven’t, but it’s a project I decided to try this year. I’m sharing the rankings of all the books I’ve read so far this year on Tuesday in Ranking My 2024 Reads, come check it out!; the cover reveals just won’t stop, and it’s so hard to pick only three books for Future Fiction, but stop by Wednesday to see what I have to share. Otherwise, my blogging plans for the week are still up in the air.
In case you missed:
My posts from last week:
That Time I Got Drunk and Saved a Demon by Kimberly Lemming – Review 3.5/5 stars
A Haunting in the Arctic by C.J. Cooke – Review 5/5 stars
Forgotten Sisters by Cynthia Pelayo – Review 4.5/5 stars
The hummingbird’s colors are so beautiful!! And I am glad you are enjoying Harrison book! Maybe I will try it!
Yes, try it!
I’m going to check out the review for This Girls a Killer.
Have a great week.

Thanks you too:-)
I’d lost track of time and didn’t realize today was Saint Patrick’s Day. I’ve never tried ranking an entire years worth of books. Seems like quite an undertaking, so I wish you much luck with it. I don’t plan on trying, but I look forward to what you come up with. And what a hummingbird, look at that color and curved bill, and I love the extended wing and angle of the head. So nice!
I love this hummingbird too, and it’s hard to tell in the photo, but supposedly this is the largest species of hummingbird.
You can keep that snow…lol. Our weather has been nice but tonight it’s going to be cold boo. Love that hummingbird pic!
Have a great week and happy reading!

I’ve seen other people rank the books they’ve read, but I haven’t done it. It might be a fun idea. I’d probably have to do it quarterly because waiting until the end of the year would be overwhelming.

I’m ranking my books after each one I finish, so it’s easier to slot it in.
Ooh, I’m looking forward to your ranking post on Tuesday to see what you do exactly. I’ve never done that, so it’s interesting! That hummingbird is so beautiful! We are having some more winterish temps this week, but I did see some buds starting to peek out of the ground yesterday when I cleaned some stems and stuff out from last year. Maybe I should have left them. Hope you have a good week!

I didn’t either, but I guess there are hundreds of varieties:-)
I hope spring wins too Tammy! I am tired of the gloomy winter. Have a great week.
You too Sophie!
I look forward to your thoughts on Three Kinds of Lucky. Our winter isn’t so bad so I can’t complain but I would enjoy more of the 60s and 70s we have seen a bit. It’s back to upper 50s the next 2 days, but then 60s. Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

I’m glad I’m not the only one still getting snow:-)
Ranking your books for the year is an interesting idea, I’ll look out for your post.
What a gorgeous picture, such vivid colours 😀
Thank you!
That hummingbird is glorious!
I personally don’t like ranking books, I’ll be interested to learn how you find the process though.
Wishing you a great reading week
The ranking project is more of a personal project to see if I can do it, lol. Thanks Shelleyrae:-)
Oh my goodness – you STILL have snow? Urg! Though at least it doesn’t devolve into the slushy, slimy mess we get when and if the white stuff bothers us – no snow this year, thank goodness. And thank you for that FABULOUS photo of the humming bird – it is so beautiful. Good luck with the ranking project – it sounds like a monster. Have a great week, Tammy.
Luckily the snow we get melts quickly. We’re actually supposed to get more TOMORROW. Ugh.
Reading Angel of Indian Lake now and it’s pretty crazy lol. A copy of Diavola just landed on my door step too so I would love to start that one soon.
I’m hoping to finish Angel of Indian Lake this week. Diavola was AMAZING!!
That hummingbird is so beautiful!
Thanks Ola!
I’m also looking forward to the Panatier book. I have one review book left this month, one SPFBO finalist and one backlist book – lets see if I can squeeze them all in.
Beautiful picture. Such gorgeous colours.
