Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer:-D
Happy New Year’s Eve! As we head into 2024, I have one last Buffy’s Corner post for you. First, wishing all my friends and readers a happy, safe New Year’s. I’m not big on parties myself, so this will most likely be a quiet evening in, reading or watching TV.
Upcoming reads & reviews:
Look for my first review of 2024 this Thursday, Mislaid in Parts Half-Known. I may wait until the following week to post my review of The Heiress, we’ll see how the schedule goes. I’m currently reading Emily Wilde’s Map of the Otherlands, and after that I’m going to start Deep Freeze. For the first week of January, I feel like I’m already doing well with my review commitments. Hopefully that will keep up!
Other posts this week:
Tomorrow I’ll share my January reading plans, so stop by for What’s On My Plate; Tuesday I’m finally posting my Best Books of 2023, it’s been a lot of work to put it together, lol; Wednesday is Future Fiction; and Friday I’ve decided to join the End of the Year Survey, which I’ve seen popping up this year on a few blogs.
In case you missed:
My posts from last week:

Ten Recent Additions to my TBR
Looks like Badger is growing fast! Love the photo. Like you, I’m planning on a fairly quiet evening, though we’ll see if local folks decide to set off fireworks late into the night or not. Hoping not as I plan to get up early for a first of the year hike with my father. Happy New Year, Tammy!
I hope you had a nice hike with your father. Fireworks are illegal up here, luckily, I hope you didn’t have to deal with them!
Mislaid will be my first review of 2024 as well, scheduled for January 6th. Looking forward to your thoughts. Badger’s shot is awesome!
Have a great 2024 Tammy!
I can’t wait to compare notes!
That picture of Badger is amazing Tammy! And we’ll have a quiet evening too!
I love that photo too, thanks Sophie:-)
Happy reading in 2024!
Thanks Jules, you too:-)
Oh my gosh, the picture of Badger is incredible! Love it! I am getting close to being caught up on commenting on blog posts. Hope to get caught up and get a schedule set before I go back to school this week so I don’t get this behind again. Happy New Year!

Thanks Emma! I’m looking forward to your posts this week:-)
I’m not big on parties either. The husband and I usually just watch a movie and / or play a couple of games. It’s the perfect way to ring in the new year, I think. I hope you have a enjoyable evening, even if it’s low-key.

Low key is the best:-) Enjoy!
I’m looking forward to your upcoming reviews. I haven’t read the first book of Emily Wilde, but still excited about the next one, because it means I won’t have to wait long after I finish the first to already have the second waiting for me! Happy New Year!

Happy New Year Haze! I hope you enjoy Emily Wilde:-)
Ooo there’s another Macbeth-related book coming out in 2024?! And by Ava Reid? Color me intrigued. I know there’s one coming out in March I think…can’t quite remember, but it’ll be in my “anticipated reads” list for the first quarter, which I’ll post next week I think. Our NYE will be a quiet one, too. Happy NYE & cheers to 2024!

OOh, Deep Freeze, I was interested in that but I’m trying to be good on requesting too much especially since my January releases list is already packed. I await your review!
Happy New Year, Tammy. Hope you enjoyed a quiet night. That photo of Badger is lovely, looks like he’s grown a lot already. Hope you’re enjoying the new Emily Wilde. I’ve finally started the first one and I love it 😀
