October 2023 Reading Wrap-Up

I had so many books on my October pile, and I feel like I barely made a dent. Personal life stuff happened (AKA new puppy in the house who completely upended my reading schedule), and other distractions. But what I did read was excellent. It was a solid month, with only one book falling below four stars. Here are the books I read and reviewed in October, and you can click on the titles if you missed my reviews:

Dreambound by Dan Frey

The Daughters of Block Island by Christa Carmen

Nestlings by Nat Cassidy

The Pale House Devil by Richard Kadrey

A Season of Monstrous Conceptions by Lina Rather

Starling House by Alix E. Harrow

My Darling Girl by Jennifer McMahon

Bloom by Delilah S. Dawson

What was your favorite book of October?

  1. A puppy is a great distraction! I’m glad the books you read were so good.
I only managed to read three books this month. I just finished The Kaiju Preservation Society by Scalzi and that’s my favorite.

  2. Looks like a really solid reading month to only have one book rated below 4 stars! I requested Dreambound after your review, but when I didn’t receive any movement after about a week I decided to rescind my request just because I felt like maybe I should focus on what I have already. I’m glad I did because I fell behind in October, oops!

  3. Looks like it was a fantastic reading month for you, even with all those extra distractions. 🙂 I think my favorite read of the month was either Piranesi or The Exorcist.
