Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer:-D
The weather continues to be pretty hot here, but hey it’s summer, so I guess it’s to be expected. Not much new in my life, unfortunately, but I have been reading some really good books, so there’s that. I hope everyone is staying cool and reading something good as well:-)
Upcoming reads and reviews:
This week is basically the last week of July, hard to believe, right? So I’m trying to cram in three reviews if possible, which means I’ll be picking up some shorter novellas. Tomorrow look for my review of Silver Nitrate. I thought the beginning was very slow, but wow, the author really pulled off a fantastic second half! I’ll post reviews of Camp Damascus and Wild Spaces later in the week, and after that I’m hoping to switch gears with What Never Happened.
Other posts this week:
I know we’re deep into July, so I’m late with my quarterly Reading Challenges update. But I think I’ll post my second quarter update on Tuesday; Wednesday is Future Fiction as usual, and the rest of my posts this week will be reviews:-)
In case you missed:
My posts from last week:
Top Ten Tuesday – One Word Titles
The Deep Sky by Yume Kitasei – Review 5/5 stars
This year is just flying by to quickly! I am behind on everything…lol.
Have a great week and happy reading!

It really is! Thanks Stormi, you too:-)
My July reading is way behind because of my trip. But that’s fine by me!!! It was worth it! I’ve been trying to get caught up on commenting on posts, because you have so many reviews I need to read. Hope that you have a good week, and I love the flamingo picture!

You seem to read pretty fast so I’ll bet you’ll catch up soon:-)
I’m ready for Fall. I think I spend all my time wishing for the next season. I’m looking forward to your review of Silver Nitrate. I habe it requested at my library. Hope you have a great week!
Ha ha I never realized it but I think I’m the same way, always looking forward to the next season. I’m definitely ready for cooler weather and Halloween:-)
I’d hope in the mountains it isn’t quite as hot but I suppose with thinner air it could be pretty hot. It’s only going to be hotter here this week and less rain. I reserved Deep Sky at my library.

I wasn’t expecting it to be this hot, but it cools way down at night so that’s a good thing.
I’m looking forward to hearing about Silver Nitrate! I’ve had mixed success with her books (some I loved, some I definitely did not), so I’ve been waiting to read reviews before deciding if I want to read this one.Hope you have a great week!
Thanks Lisa, you too:-)
Nothing to report is also good Tammy! And that flamingo is gorgeous!
Ha ha so right! Thanks Sophie:-)
Summer is humming right long, isn’t it? Nitrate and What Never Happened both look promising to me.
I love flamingos- great image!!

Thanks Greg! I just started What Never Happened and I love it so far.
I’m glad you enjoyed, “The Deep Sky,” as much as I did. I need to start reading, “Silver Nitrate”; I’ve had the eARC for months, but I never got around to reading it.
I hope you love Silver Nitrate, I thought it was so well done.
It’s hard to believe it’s almost August already. I’ve read a ton of books but somehow still always feel like I’m way behind on what I really planned to read. I look forward to reading your review for Silver Nitrate. I have a review copy of the audiobook but was holding off to see some reviews first since I’ve had mixed success with her books lately.
I hear people talking about going back to school already, crazy!
I can’t believe July is almost over. I’m definitely looking forward to spooky season though 😀
Looking forward to your Silver Nitrate review. Mexican Gothic is still my favourite of the novels I’ve read by Moreno-Garcia. So good I would like to read it again.

Mexican Gothic was so good, I agree!
I was so hopeful of catching up this month – ahh well, there’s always August..
Lynn 😀
I think August is even worse for me, lol.
I just recently finished Silver Nitrate and Camp Damascus as well, hoping to get those reviews up next week!
