Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer:-D
February is rolling right along, and I already feel behind, lol. How can we almost be half-way through the month? But in good news, it means Spring is getting closer and I will be warm again. I’m very excited for the long holiday weekend coming up! I hope everyone has a great week:-)
Upcoming reads & reviews:
I’m trying for three reviews this week! Tomorrow I’ll post my review of Don’t Fear the Reaper, and later in the week look for World Running Down (which is lots of fun!) and one of these novellas (depending on how I’m feeling): Arch Conspirator or Sister, Maiden, Monster.
Other posts this week:
I already have a Friday Face-Off planned, check it out on Friday! And wow, cover reveals have been exploding so it will be hard to pick three books for Future Fiction. Check back on Wednesday to see what I found:-) And that’s it besides reviews.
In case you missed:
My posts from last week:
The Drift by C.J. Tudor – Review 4/5 stars
Ten New To Me Authors I Hope to Try in 2023
What Lies in the Woods by Kate Alice Marshall – Review 4.5/5 stars
I know I am feeling behind as well! That is an awesome duck pic!
Have a great week and happy reading!

Thanks Stormi, you too:-)
I’m curious to read your thoughts on Don’t Fear the Reaper. I have an ARC of My Heart is a Chainsaw that I never got to, I read a novella by SGJ last year (Mapping the Interior) that I didn’t especially like so I’m very hesitant to pick his other works up… :/

I find you either really love SGJ or you don’t. I love most of the books I’ve read, and I did love parts of Don’t Fear the Reaper, but I had a few issues with it.
Duck pick is so cute! I’m behind on reading your reviews! I’m going to make sure I just always go to read your reviews when I’m at home writing blog posts since my school blocks your blog and I can’t do it when I try to do some blog hopping at work. Hope you have a good week, looking forward to all your reviews and posts!

Thanks Lisa! I hope you have a great week too:-)
Speaking of warming up, I saw some early blooming bulbs along the side of a road yesterday, just starting to show a little yellow from the emerging flowers. Won’t be long before it’s time to search for wildflowers along the trails. I love that wood duck. They are beautiful birds in their own right, but in this view it looks as if it’s admiring its own reflection. Great moment from Moses. And I look forward to each of your reviews this week.
I’m glad to hear there are signs of Spring on the way. And thanks for the comment about the Wood Duck. It seems like it would be a hard photo to come across. I’m glad he was there at the right time:-)
Enjoy your time visiting with your son. I won’t be sure of spring until mid-March here but that’s better than the mid-April in Minnesota.
So true! I’m definitely glad I don’t live in Minnesota:-)
That wood duck reflection picture is AMAZING! Also I can’t wait for Spring either!
Thanks Sophie!
Beautiful pic of the reflection!
I can’t believe how far into February we are either! But spring is close. Yay! I’m looking forward to that Hess book.

Thanks Greg! The Hess book is sweet and fun:-)
I’m looking forward to reading your upcoming reviews.
Thanks! I need to get cracking on them:-)
Yes, it feels like spring is almost coming, mid 50s here, I even ate outdoors at church today. But I know the weather can give us lots of bad surprises in March and April in Illinois…

I’m sure the weather here will surprise us too:-)
I just knocked out a very long book, so I’m hoping to tackle some shorter reads next to catch up because I’m falling behind too! Arch Conspirator and Sister, Maiden, Monster are probably my next reads!
I didn’t realize how many February review books I have, and it’s getting to be the end of the month already!
I’m excited for your review of Don’t Fear the Reaper! It’s been taking me way longer than I expected to get through it, but I’m enjoying it! I’m excited to hear your thoughts for either one of those novellas, too. Hope you have a great week!
It took me FOREVER to get through it too! But I’m glad I finished it. The second half pulls everything together.
I like that bird picture. It always interesting in seeing animals react when seeing their reflection.
Have a great week.
