Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer:-D
Here in the U.S. it’s a three day weekend, and I’m so happy I have Monday off work. (Martin Luther King Day) We’re getting a winter storm with tons of rain and snow, and I’m very glad I don’t have to leave the house for the next few days.
I also wanted to (finally) announce the winners of my Sci Fi Month giveaway, which was back in November. Yes, I was a little busy moving and completely forgot about it. But better late than never! Congrats to my two winners, Lisa W. and Sandra K! Your books are on the way:-)
Upcoming reads & reviews:
This week look for reviews of Emily Wilde’s Encyclopaedia of Faeries and The Villa. So far I’m cranking along with my January books. I’m also planning on jumping into some February releases early, and I may start Don’t Fear the Reaper next, I don’t think I can wait any longer. After that, I’m anxious to read Bad Cree.
Other posts this week:
Well, I’ve decided to break down and do a Reading Goals post, so look for that on Tuesday! (hint: it’s overly ambitious, lol). Wednesday I have some exciting new books to share on Future Fiction; and I haven’t decided what The Friday Face-Off book will be yet, so check back on Friday.
In case you missed:
My posts from last week:
The Friday Face-Off: Ordinary Monsters
On the Savage Side by Tiffany McDaniel – Review 5/5 stars
How to Sell a Haunted House by Grady Hendrix – Review 4.5/5 stars
I’m really looking forward to your review of Emily Wilde’s Encyclopaedia of Faeries. I’ve heard some good things about it around the book community.

So many fans of that book, and deservedly so:-)
Enjoy your extra day off!! I am curious about Emily Wilde, I like Heather Fawcett’s Middle Grade but not tried anything else from her…lol.
Cool photo!
Have a great week and happy reading!

Thanks Stormi, have a great week!
Enjoy the 3 day! Unfortunately, I’ll be working it this year. Oh well. I hope you’re getting the kind of snow you can enjoy. Yesterday we saw our first “snow” of the year, but it was just a stray flake here and there. You couldn’t really even tell it was snow. 🙂
We’ve only had about an inch of snow so far. I guess the weather is trying to ease me into the whole “winter” thing:-)
Stay warm inside Tammy! And I am reading Emily Wilde’s book LOL
Thanks Sophie!
Enjoy your holiday and the snow! It seems like you are back to reading and blogging and totally over the moving.

I do feel mostly back to normal, which is a good thing:-)
We got a little snow before Christmas, but not much since. Not enough or at the right time for a snow day anyway. But I’ll keep my fingers crossed for February. With such a busy week I didn’t get to look at any of your reviews since I can’t get to your blog through the school security on the internet. 🙁 So I need to read your Grady Hendrix review still! Hope you have a good week!

We don’t have much snow here, but I know we’ll get it eventually. Have a good week, Lisa!
So cool that you’ve got a 3-day weekend to enjoy! I could use more of those throughout the year. 😀
Three day weekends are always nice:-)
I’m looking forward to your review of the Faeris book and that Hawkins as well. Hope you have a great new week 🙂

Thank you for the giveaway!! I’m so excited. Looking forward to your reviews this week — at least two of these are books I’m considering reading, so I can’t wait to check out your reactions. Have a great week!
Thanks Lisa!
Enjoy your long weekend. I always have to work holidays. Sigh!!!!

The snow! And it sounds like an amazing timing at it too… Long weekend and snow is a good pair!
And I am curious to know what you think of Emily Wilde’s… Because I am reading that book right now!
I can’t wait to hear your thoughts about Emily Wilde!
Enjoy your three day weekend 😀
Looking forward to your reading goals post, and your review of Emily Wilde.
