Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer:-D
Hope everyone’s having a good weekend! It’s cold here in So Cal—and by “cold” I mean the high will be 69 today, lol. I had to put SOCKS on this past week! So I’m having trouble yet again getting blog post notifications from the blogs I follow. I don’t know why, but I’ve been missing my friends’ posts and it’s so frustrating. I’m trying to remember which blogs I follow and visit but I prefer getting email notifications to let me know when you have a new post. Ugh technology. Apologies if I’ve been absent or missed some of your posts, I’m not sure why this is happening.
It’s been another terrible reading/blogging week for me. My life is about to be upended (more later when plans are firm) and I am having the worst time concentrating on reading. There’s just a lot going on. I know reviews have been sparse this month, and may continue to be that way until things settle.
In happier news, I discovered DAW blurbed me on the back of Nightwatch Over Windscar, which I’ve just started reading this week:
Upcoming reads and reviews:
So it’s anyone’s guess what I’ll be able to read and review this week, lol. Definitely look for my review of Reckoning tomorrow. Gear’s series never disappoints! I’ve just started Nightwatch Over Windscar, and I’d love to get to White Horse and All the Blood We Share soon.
Other posts this week:
I have a couple more Sci-Fi Month Top Ten lists coming this month, but I’m not sure I’ll get one up this week or not. Perhaps on Tuesday? Wednesday per usual look for three new books/covers on Future Fiction, and The Friday Face-Off is “sword and sorcery.”
In case you missed:
My posts from last week:
Ten Young Adult Science Fiction Books to Read in 2023
The Luminaries by Susan Dennard – Review 3.5/5 stars
Congratulations on being quoted on the book’s back cover! And hang in there: calmer seas will come soon… 🙂

No review of Leech,yet???
Yay on the blurb. Best wishes for positive outcomes from the upending. Don’t forget to be kind to yourself.
Congratulations on being blurbed!!!
I’m sorry to hear life is giving you a headache right now. I hope things get easier soon!

Ahhhh it’s so awesome you got blurbed on the back of Nightwatch Over Windscar!!
That is so cool you were blurbed on the back of a book!
Have a great day and happy reading!

I am sorry Tammy! When I remade my blog ten months ago I didn’t leave the option to get my posts by mail anymore. I really made it very minimalist and that’s probably why you didn’t see my posts. What I do for your blog is at least once a week look after you LOL Not very practical I know… In other news I see you can’t put on flip flops anymore! What a shame 😉
How cool to get the quote on a book! I had my picture put in an author’s newsletter this past week for showing off one of the tshirts she’s selling that I bought, lol. I am trying to do better about commenting too. I’m trying to get more done at work when I am stuck at my desk sometimes, but for some reason I can’t get to your blog through the school’s blockers. So I have to make sure I set a night each week, which I haven’t done yet this week for your blog! And so many reviews to read! Hope you have a good week, and 69 is my perfect temp, we got down into true freezing this week. I hate having to wear a coat, and that’s what point it is now.

Congrats on the blurb! And I hope everything goes okay with whatever is happening. I had to laugh about the temps. 🙂 It’s 35 here now and feels COLD but I know for SoCal 69 probably is a bit chilly!
Ooh sword and sorcery should be fun 🙂

Yeah things are hectic and it’s hard to focus when you’re in the midst of changes. I’m interested in both the Gear and Eason series but haven’t started them yet. Congrats on being quoted! We will be 50s this week after a few 80s last week so I feel ya.

Ooo… congratulations on the quote appearing on the back cover cover, Tammy:)). I hope that the intrusions into your everyday life keeping you from reading and blogging aren’t too unkind – and that the coming week is a good one for you. Thank you for the wonderful photo.
That’s SO cool that your blurb was included, way to go! 😀 Hope you have a wonderful week ahead of you!

I LOVE this for you, Tammy! Congrats!
Congrats on being blurbed! That’s so cool. I hope that things settle for you soon.
In print again! That’s awesome, I’m glad to see it. 🙂
Sorry it’s been a busy time! It’s always frustrating when things going on in life spill over into our ability to read, it always bums me out. And omg-SO exciting to have your blurb on Nightwatch Over Windscar! That’s so neat, congratulations! Hope your week goes well 🙂

Congrats on being blurbed!
I know this feeling of things being busy and almost out of control and your book concentration disappearing as a result. I think this year will be my slowest reading year in about 15 years! I won’t even make 100 books which just feels weird to me. Anyway, I hope these events that are making things unstable for you – are happy things.
Lynn 😀
I think you’ll find that MY posts have been sparse. I’m sure you could learn a thing or two lol
I do hope everything settles down enough for you to get some reading done, but I can totally understand how/why it might not. Same boat and all. Don’t suppose you remembered oars?
