Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer:-D
How is it halfway through October already?? I hope everyone is having a good month so far. I feel a little burned out from posting so much last week, so this week will be a lighter one:-) Hubby has made a few recent trips to the lake and the river to shoot birds, so I have a new photo to share today (see below).
Upcoming reads & reviews:
I just finished Little Eve and it was bizarre, creepy, sad and upsetting, but very good. Look for my review tomorrow! I’ve just started reading Living Memory, and after that I’d like a change of pace with Such Sharp Teeth, and maybe It Rides a Pale Horse after that.
Other posts this week:
I have a couple of October-centric lists coming up in the next couple of weeks. On Tuesday, I’m sharing Twenty Horror Books to Read in 2023; Wednesday I have some exciting cover reveals to share on Future Fiction; and The Friday Face-Off is “good versus evil.”
In case you missed:
My posts from last week:
Dark Room Etiquette by Robin Roe – Review 4/5 stars
Ten Books with Tentacles on the Cover
Lute by Jennifer Thorne – Review 3.5/5 stars
Station Eternity by Mur Lafferty – Review 4/5 stars
Perfect description for Little Eve.
Lynn 😀
It’s all those things, right?
I can’t believe we are halfway through! It’s crazy how fast the days go by! Living Memory looks different. 🙂 Hope you enjoy all your reads!

Thanks Stormi:-)
I love your husband’s pictures! And the patience he must have! Also I enjoyed your Dark Room Etiquette review so much Tammy!
Thanks Sophie!
Seriously, this month has been going like a wildfire. I read the shoot birds and I thought why would he do that and realized you meant with a camera.

We’re all fierce animal lovers in this house, no shooting except for with cameras:-)
It’s been a busy month! I hope you’re able to relax a little in between all these great reads. 🙂 Ravens can so often seem boring they’re so commonplace, and yet Moses’ photo is anything but boring. Very nice image with a beautiful pose and head angle, not to mention the dramatic lighting.
I love the way he’s so focusing on something on the ground:-)
The raven photo is amazing. Little Eve sounds right up my alley.:-)
Priscilla Bettis recently posted…An Interview and My First Dog Meat Review!
Thanks, I love that photo too.
Beautiful bird picture as usual! I’m waiting for your review of Living History, because dinosaur! lol Hope you are able to have a good week, and that blogging doesn’t overwhelm you again!

I’m starting Such Sharp Teeth today! And hopefully Station Eternity soon as well. 🙂

Oh cool, I hope you love them both:-)
I’m looking forward to your upcoming post about horror books to look out for. My TBR list is endless but I can never resist adding to it 😀
Same here, I live for my TBR, lol.
I love the pic of the raven – what detailing on the feathers… I’m not surprised you are feeling the pressure – you certainly are in full swing regarding the reviews. I hope the coming week is a bit less of a flurry, Tammy!
Thanks Sarah!
It’s like we’ve been on the same wavelength lately, I also recently read Little Eve and just finished Living Memory today. The latter was kind of an interesting change of pace 🙂
I’m hoping to finish Living Memory today. It’s pretty crazy!
