Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer:-D
Hope everyone is well! Not much new here, except our weather has improved drastically, so life is better because I don’t have to run the A/C 24/7. Also it’s ridiculously expensive so my bank account is also thankful:-)
Upcoming reads & reviews:
It was a pretty good reading week! I’ll have reviews up this week for Always the First to Die and Things Have Gotten Worse Since We Last Spoke. I’m currently reading Leech and after that, I’ll probably read Full Immersion in preparation for my blog tour stop on the 28th.
Other posts this week:
Hey, I’m doing another book tag this week! Stop by Tuesday to see which one:-) Wednesday I’ll share three new books on Future Fiction, and the Friday Face-Off is “coming of age.”
In case you missed:
My posts from last week:
A Dowry of Blood by S.T. Gibson – Review 4.5/5 stars
House of Hunger by Alexis Henderson – Review 3.5/5 stars
It’s starting to warm up here, still only need fans but I think the a/c will go on soon.
I’m curious about Things Have Gotten Worse Since We Last Spoke, just because of the title!
Wishing you a great reading week
Thanks Shelleyrae, you as well:-)
Hope you have enjoyed the books you’ve read recently. I’m looking forward to your reviews!

Thanks Stephanie:-)
Kingfishers are such cool birds. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

They really are:-) I hope your week is a good one!
Can’t wait to see your reviews on those books you read/are reading!
Have a great week and happy reading!

Thanks Stormi, you too:-)
We don’t have A/C here but more and more people get them because of the very warm summers! But as you said, it costs a lot! I hope you’ll keep these cooler temperatures next week Tammy!
Me too!!
We had a couple cooler days this week, but then I think they said some record highs in the 90s for this time of year next week here. Ugh. I’m so ready for fall weather! Have a great week!

Me too Lisa! Hope you have a good week as well:-)
Yay for cooler weather. We are supposed to get 90s this week but only 3 days, then back to the more normal fall weather. I hope it’s a good reading week!
Anne – Books of My Heart recently posted…Devouring Darkness by Chloe Neill
Thanks Anne! It’s harder for me to read during the week because of work, but this week I need to get through both books so I’m going to try extra hard:-)
Just yesterday my father and I could hear a kingfisher around the wetlands where we were hiking, but we never did actually see it. They can be so fast sometimes, too, making them even more of a challenge to see. But when you do see them you realize quickly what a beautiful and sleek bird they are. Great photo from Moses!
Thanks Todd, I have never seen one myself, but one of these days…:-)
It always boggles my mind that you can plan your books in advance! I’ve failed to read what was on my list twice this month so far and it’s only the third week in lol
I just work better with a schedule/plan. I’ve always been like that:-)
Leech looks good. Hope you’re having a good weekend. 🙂

Thanks Greg! Leech is super weird and I’m loving it:-)
Full Immersion is intriguing. It seems to have common themes (not in the horror genre though) with Constance: https://wordsandpeace.com/2022/01/26/book-review-constance/

You’re right, I will have to check out Constance one of these days:-)
The picture is so beautiful!! ❤️ And yay for the weather!!
Thanks Susy!
The temps are finally comfortable here as well. I’ve enjoyed being able to actually open the windows instead of constantly running the A/C. Looking forward to this week’s reviews!
Nice, I just received my copy of Leech so I am looking forward to checking it out!
