  1. I read several good books in August. I’m going to pick R. Saint Claire’s Code Red, a Southern Gothic vampire story, as my favorite August read. Drama, gore, hillybilly horror, the works!

  2. Looks like you had a great reading month, and I’d like to try several of these books. My favorite reads were Grave Reservations by Cherie Priest, Saga volume 2 by Brian K Vaughan & Fiona Staples, and Peacemaker by Joseph Bruchac.

My favorite book of August was probably Black Mouth, even though it was a July release. I’m so behind 😛

  4. I’m working to catch up on the reviews I wanted to read! Although I wasn’t able to comment on the Megan Bannen book because the comments are shut off now. But your review made me even more excited to read it. I’ll say your points about her world building were ones that are things I noticed in her YA books as well. Hope you’re having a good September as I get around to commenting on this over halfway through. lol
