The Friday Face-Off was created by Books by Proxy, where each week bloggers can showcase books with covers centered around a weekly theme. You can visit Lynn’s Books for a list of upcoming themes. Join in the fun each Friday by finding a book whose cover is based on the theme!
This week’s theme: Blue cover
I did this theme three years ago, and at that time I also did a gallery of a bunch of blue covers. And I’m doing it again, but using all different books (except for one repeat!) Lots of different shades of blue here, but I tried to pick brighter blues and covers that really stood out to me. This is a mix of books I’ve read and books on my TBR, take a look:
The Carter Archives has great covers!
Neat! I wanted to do something with Upgrade, but could find only 2 covers. My favorite here may be The Mountain in the Sea. What’s YOUR favorite?
I did find a classic horror novella to work with: https://wordsandpeace.com/2022/08/12/friday-face-off-a-blue-cover/

I like The Mountain in the Sea in particular because of the simple graphics and the weird but readable text.

After looking at these I find I do love blue covers.

Lots of pretty blues. 🙂
There are several I like here but Stormblood is my favorite.
Well The Change but that’s because I loved that books so I am biased 😉
These look fantastic. I had the same idea but I think you’ve managed to really highlight a certain colour of blue and then throw in a few low lights. They look so good.
Lynn 😀
They’re all great, but Bluebird with the feathers is very evocative.
I knew I’d see a lot of great blue covers from you this week!
