Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer:-D
My daughter is back home for a few days before she leaves for Budapest on her tour with Remi Wolf! It’s lovely to spend some more time with her. It’s also nice to have time with just my kids, since the hubby is still in Costa Rica;-) Speaking of which, I’m sharing three of my favorite Costa Rica photos (of what I’ve seen so far) at the end of this post, enjoy! Otherwise, I hope everyone is doing well and reading lots of good books:-)
Upcoming reads and reviews:
Unless a miracle occurs, I’m only posting one review this week, The Book Eaters. It was a very slow reading week, for some reason. I thought I’d blow through The Book Eaters in a couple of days but it took me all week to read. Not the fault of the book! (I LOVED it) but a stressful work week ruined reading for me, unfortunately. I’ve just started The Undertaking of Hart and Mercy but it’s a bit long, and I might not be able to review it until next week. Next reads after that, perhaps Eversion or The Devil Takes You Home. We’ll see what I’m in the mood for!
Other posts this week:
It will probably be a light posting week, but look for the usual cover reveals on Future Fiction, and The Friday Face-Off is “blue cover.”
In case you missed:

Oh wow these pictures!!!! Also I am happy that you are spending some quality time with your daughter Tammy! Enjoy!
It’s been fun, I’ll be sad to say goodbye…
The baby monkey on the first picture!
Right? So sweet:-)
I’ve heard nothing but good things about The Devil Takes You Home, enjoy! Your hubby’s photos are so cool!
Thanks Priscilla! I can’t wait to start The Devil Takes You Home:-)
Isn’t that hummingbird just gorgeous!?
I know what you mean about slow reading weeks. A book that would usually take a few days suddenly takes forever even though you’re enjoying it! How dare life interfere like that?!
Ha ha Life just needs to stop already:-)
Those pictures are so cool!
Thanks Stormi!
In what capacity is your daughter on tour with Remi Wolf?
Ah, shame for work interfering with your reading! How dare it?!? LOL. Then again, it’s OK to have a slow week, blog-wise, from time to time. Especially when you have to metabolise long books!
Gorgeous pics as usual! Love that monkey family. And the sloth is so funny.
My daughter is the bass player for the tour:-) Thanks Roberta, I love the monkeys too, so sweet:-)
Wow, I didn’t know she played professionally!
Beautiful photos – I love the sloth! How nice for you to get some family time. Looking forward to your review of Book Eaters — that’s one that’s not on my to-read list at this point, but I’m open to being convinced! Wishing you a great week.
Thanks Lisa, I love the sloth too:-)
I am interested in the new Megan Bannen book! Haven’t gotten my hands on it yet. I’ve got a couple of your reviews bookmarked from this past week to go back and check out still. Hope you have a better week at work. Love those pictures!
Thanks Lisa, I’m wishing for a slow boring week at work:-)
Those photos are amazing! I’m glad you got some time with your kids. I hope the reading goes better this week.
Me too! Thanks Anne:-)
Good luck to your daughter on the tour! I want to start Eversion too…
Love those pics! Your husband must be having a blast down there getting those shots.
Thanks Greg! Yep, he’s having so much fun:-)
I think some lovely quality time with your family sounds perfect – and wow those pictures. Your husband certainly has the knack with the camera.
Happy reading this week.
Lynn
Thanks Lynn, he does have a knack, I agree:-)
August 2022 has some of the year’s Most Anticipated Books, and yet I won’t be able to read any of them anytime soon.
Oh no, sorry to hear that! But yes, so many great sounding books come out this month.
Yay for getting to spend more time with your daughter. I hope she has an incredible time in Budapest! I’m in love with the Costa Rica pics, especially the sloth.
That sloth is cute, right?
Glad to see you enjoyed The Book Eaters. I’ve been increasingly curious about that one. I love seeing the Costa Rica photos!
Glad that you were able to spend time with your daughter! And wow, those pictures are gorgeous. That sloth is looking goooood!
