This week’s theme: School setting
I’m going way back this week, and I chose Carrie by Stephen King, which as we all know revolves around a high school prom. As you can imagine there are a TON of covers for this book, but I tried to pick only the ones I really like (there are some really bad ones too!).
Serbian edition 2013 | French edition 2007 | Finnish edition 1987
Czech edition 1992 | Bulgarian edition 2015 | Original Doubleday edition (U.S.) 1974
Portuguese edition 2022 | Cemetery Dance special edition 2014 | Estonian edition 2014
Dutch edition 1983 | Spanish edition 2015 | Large Print edition
I have to pick two favorites, because it’s too hard to narrow down to one. I love both the Estonian and Large Print editions. Both are rather simple but have a menacing feel to them.
Great choice for this week – I really like the Serbian cover and also the Estonian one. I remember reading this – and seeing the film – chilling.
Lynn 😀
I read the original Doubleday edition back in the day, so I’ll have to go with that cover.

I think I like that French version. 🙂
I like the Serbian one a lot!
I have the original doubleday hardback on my shelf!! I do like the Estonian one it’s pretty creepy. 🙂
Great choice for this topic! I like the two you picked, though I also like the French one. It’s a nice creepy, hazy vibe. I’ve actually still never seen or read Carrie, but I feel like I already know the story from everything I’ve heard about it, haha.
After all these years and I’ve yet to read this one, though I did see the movie. I think my favorite cover is either the first (2013 Serbian edition) or the last (large print edition).
The Estonian edition is the best, I agree! 😀

I think it’s the large print edition for me, too. It draws upon everything “Carrie” for me.
Oh my, the first one just caught my eye and I just couldn’t stop looking at it! Creepy.
