Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer:-D
I’m so excited that my newly college-graduated daughter has been hired for her first real job: she’s going to be playing bass for Remi Wolf’s upcoming European/U.S. tour! I’m so proud and also exhausted just looking at the schedule. (OK I’ll admit I had no idea who Remi Wolf was when she told me, lol.) She leaves for Budapest in less three weeks, ahhhhh!
Upcoming reads & reviews:
I know this lineup looks a lot like last week, lol. But hey, I just didn’t get a lot of reading done. Look for reviews of Just Like Home and The Daughter of Doctor Moreau this week for sure, and I may be able to squeeze in one more, maybe. We Made It All Up or Our Wives Under the Sea are the top candidates!
Other posts this week:
Wednesday I have three exciting books to share on Future Fiction; The Friday Face-Off is “gigantic;” and can you believe it’s the end of July?? Which means I’ll be sharing my monthly wrap-up on Saturday.
In case you missed:
My posts from last week:
The Friday Face-Off: Off the TBR
Bad Things Happen Here: Twelve Books with Creepy Houses on the Cover
August Kitko and the Mechas From Space by Alex White – Review 4.5/5 stars
I’m looking forward to your upcoming reviews. Aw, the butterflies, so pretty!

They are pretty, right?
No clue who Remi Wolf is either but YAY congrats to your daughter, hope she enjoys the traveling and busy schedule I am sure she is about to have. 🙂 Love the butterfly pic!
Yes, it will be exhausting I’m sure, but maybe not for a 21 year old:-)
Congratulations to your daughter! That is awesome. Looking forward to your upcoming reviews
Thanks Laurie!
Wow, what an awesome first job as a college graduate! I can see why you’re so proud! The Daughter of Dr. Moreau is one I can’t wait to read your review on! Have a great week!

How exciting for your daughter to get to travel! I’m sure she will be working a lot but it’s still interesting to see different places.

It should be a great experience, even though it will be tough at times:-)
Congratulations to your daughter! How exciting! I’m hoping to read The Daughter of Doctor Moreau this week, but all my plans have gotten mixed up and I’ve fallen behind. Wishing you a great week!
Thanks Lisa, you too!
Wow, playing bass on tour! That just sounds so much better than the typical “jobs” many of us choose. And she’ll get to see so many places. Hopefully there’s enough down time she can get a little enjoyment out of the locales between shows. I bet you wish you could go on tour with her. 🙂
It does sound exotic, right? Although I’m sure it will be very hard and stressful at time.
Congratulations!!! That is awesome!!!! You guys must be thrilled and so proud. 🙂
Untethered Skies is one I really want to read.
Love the butterflies!

Am looking forward to your thoughts on Our Wives Under the Sea as it’s one I’ve thought about reading but not had chance to yet.
Love those butterflies, they’re so pretty 😀
I hope I have time for Our Wives Under the Sea!
Congratulations to her!! Although to be fair I’m not sure any of my relatives would call that a “real” job lol
It continues to boggle my mind that you can plan all your reads in advance! I hope you like them!
Ha ha in her world it’s a “real” job:-)
OMG congratulations to your daughter Tammy! You must be so proud of her!
Thanks Sophie, I am:-)
How awesome for your daughter! Congrats to her, that’s so exciting. That kind of travel sounds exhausting to me as well, haha, but I bet it’s such a neat experience. Looking forward to your thoughts on all your upcoming reads! Hope you have a great week. 🙂
