Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer:-D
Wyrd & Wonder is winding down and I feel like I haven’t participated as much as I wanted to. But I still hope to post a couple of fantasy reviews before the end of the month, we’ll see how that goes! And I’m looking forward to the weekend because next Monday is a holiday here in the U.S. and I’m also taking Friday off work, so I’ll have a nice, long four day weekend. Yippee!
Upcoming reviews & reads:
May is slipping away, and it seems I’ve barely put a dent in my May TBR, lol. Story of my life! But I’m pushing to get at least three more books read and reviewed by the end of the month. I’ve already read Just Like Mother, a creepy cult story. I’m about halfway through The Hourglass Throne, and I love being back in the unique fantasy world of Rune, Brand, Addam and the rest! Look for reviews of these two this week. Next up is Glitterati, and probably Black Tide after that. My May pile will definitely spill into June, because there are still so many May books I want to read: Hide, The Hacienda, Siren Queen, Under Fortunate Stars, ugh!
Other posts this week:
Tuesday I’ll be sharing Ten Upcoming Adult Fantasy Books to Get Excited About; Wednesday I’ll share three new books on Future Fiction; and The Friday Face-Off is “you” in the title.
In case you missed:
My posts from last week:
The Girl Who Outgrew the World by Zoje Stage – Review 4/5 stars
The Friday Face-Off: Yellow Cover
Interview with R.W.W. Greene, Author of Mercury Rising
Hidden Pictures by Jason Rekulak – Review 4/5 stars
Book of Night by Holly Black – Review 3/5 stars
Just Like Mother promises some intriguing creepiness, indeed: I will have to keep tags on that one… 🙂

It was both fun and somewhat annoying, but I did enjoy it:-)
I’m looking forward to your Just Like Mother review. Awww, look at the baby Crane chick!

It’s tomorrow!
A four day weekend is certainly something to look foward to. 🙂 I don’t believe I’ve ever seen a sandhill crane, much less a pair with a chick. Very cool!
The chick makes this photo extra cool, I think:-)
The month has flown by and I am behind on my books too! I swear it seems like the months just fly by now days and I would like to slow them down! 🙂
Have a great week and happy reading!

Me too, Stormi, I feel like the older I get, the faster time goes by. It isn’t fair!
Awwww it’s so cute! Almost makes me forget just how bloody annoying sandhill cranes are hahaha
I have never seen a sandhill crane in person, but that’s so sad they are annoying, lol.
We are having a short week here too so yay!!!
Oh cool! Enjoy:-)
Oh my gosh the baby sand hill crane is so cute!! Love that picture! I’ve been swamped reading for reviews this month and have had several DNFs unfortunately. I’m also behind on commenting on blogs again, so be prepared once school is out in another week for a lot of my comments as I get around to reading your reviews that I’ve been saving the links for! Hope you have a good week!

You too, Lisa!
I know exactly what you mean about not seeming to put a dint in your tbr! I feel just the same.
Love the cranes.
Lynn 😀
I think May was particularly bad for new releases, I barely scratched the surface…
I’m rereading The Last Sun right now, want to read the rest of the trilogy this summer! And I’m trying really hard to finish The Hunger of the Gods, I’ve been reading over a week and I still have 150 pages left!

You’re so good about rereading your series before the new book, I wish I could make time to do that:-)
May is going so fast suddenly. I can’t believe it’s almost June?? 😮
I can’t either! It seems like every month goes faster than the one before…
No matter how many books I read I want it to be more. May has flown by.

So true!
Have a great week! Looking forward to your review of Just Like Mother!
Thanks Lisa, you too:-)
I just finished Just Like Mother as well, and I liked it even more than I expected to! It was a fascinating take on a cult story.
I agree, there’s something about cult stories that makes them hard to resist:-)
