Buffy’s Corner 3/13/22 – Looking at the Week Ahead

Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer:-D

It’s hard to believe, but my youngest is graduating from college in less than two months, and I’m excited because I get to go to her in person graduation in Boston! We’ve made our reservations, and it will be my first plane trip since the pandemic started. It takes something special to get me on a plane, but I am very excited:-)

I hope everyone has a good week coming up! And did you remember to turn your clocks ahead?

Upcoming reviews & reads:

I’ll have my review for Crowbones up tomorrow, and it was so fun being back in this world. I also went off plan and read The Fall by Alan Baxter, an April release that I had every intention of reading early and guess what, I did:-) I love Baxter’s creepy, small town brand of horror, and I’ll share my thoughts on Thursday. Next up (finally) is The Shadow Glass and The City of Dusk.

Other posts this week:

On Tuesday, I’m doing a fun list called Reading Firsts of 2022. I did it last year and it was a blast. Wednesday I’ll have three new books to share on Future Fiction, and The Friday Face-Off is “rainbow/colorful cover.”

In case you missed:

  1. She’s already graduating? It doesn’t seem that long ago you were talking about her leaving home to go to school. Time really does fly sometimes. And speaking of flying, I’ve also never really been drawn to it. But it’s worth it sometimes. Egrets are such beautiful birds. And I always love how aesthetically beautiful birds can be. Just look at the color of the feet and the color between beak and eye. It’s as if the bird knows more about fashion sense than we do (certainly more than I do). 🙂

I know, the years just fly by the older my kids get. It’s not fair:-) And I agree, egrets are so beautiful and graceful:-)

  2. Always love the bird pictures at the end of your posts! So exciting about the college graduation! I haven’t flown yet since before the pandemic. Had thought I was going to this summer, but don’t see that happening now. Maybe in the fall for my 50th birthday I might go to Mexico. We’ll see! I’m slowly getting caught up on your reviews. Have a great week!

  4. A graduation – how exciting, and In Boston – I’d love to visit. I hope you have a fantastic time whilst there and share some pictures.
    That Egret is beautiful.
    Happy reading this week.
    Lynn 😀
