This week’s theme: Made for each other
The Echo Wife by Sarah Gailey immediately popped into my head when I heard this theme, and luckily there are several covers to show you! This is the story of a clone, but it’s much more than that. It’s also perfect for the theme, since it’s about a man who clones his wife and basically “uses” her as his mistress. Don’t worry, he dies in the beginning of the story;-) Here are the covers I found:
U.S. hardcover edition, Tor Books 2021 | UK hardcover edition, Hodder & Stoughton 2021
Chinese edition, 2021 | US Paperback edition, 2022
Large print edition, 2021
This is an easy pick for me. I still love the Tor hardcover edition the best. The simple design of the reflected wedding rings which mimic the two main characters, Evelyn and Martine, is understated but effective.
I like both your choice and the Large Print Edition with the twinned wedding rings: they convey the theme quite effectively.

I like the US hardcover edition, too. The gold on a black background is striking, and the image is easy to depict from afar.

Both the US hardcover and paperback are great!
The Chinese edition is quite interesting but I agree with you. The original Tor cover is fantastic.

I like the Chinese 2022 book cover!
I do agree with your choice today 😉
Amazing that you picked the same book as the host of the meme!
My favorite cover is the red and black, with the illusion, and also the title upside down.
Now on my way to this book.
I recently read a good book on clones: https://wordsandpeace.com/2022/01/26/book-review-constance/

This is one time when I will go with the US cover.
This was fun. I love the first two covers. 🙂
Mm yeah, US hardcover for sure. The contrast is really eyecatching. The UK cover looks like… supermarket fiction.

I like the US cover a lot, but I am really really drawn to the Chinese cover!

I completely agree, I’m also most drawn to the US hardcover. I’d like to read this one.
I love that one, too, because I’ve always thought it was such a creative way to represent this story!
Yeah, I’m not really feeling the other ones. The Tor version is definitely the best!
I do like your favourite – it’s the book I’m familiar with.
