Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer:-D
I hope everyone on the East Coast is staying warm, I know there are extremely low temps and blizzards everywhere! I’m in California and you guys it’s even freezing here! (Freezing for me is in the 50s/60s, lol).
Thank you to those of you who have checked out my hubby’s new wildlife blog. He’s worked out some of the kinks, and you can now subscribe via email and leave comments, etc. Click here if you’d like more in depth details about his photos and his process. He LOVES to talk so drop him a comment and tell him I sent you!
Hope everyone has a good week! And don’t forget to check out my giveaway for Obsidian by Sarah J. Daley, the link is below. Here’s what’s happening on the blog:
Upcoming reviews & reads:
Tomorrow I’m reviewing my first five star read of 2022, Dead Silence by S.A. Barnes. Wow, you guys! If you love space horror, you won’t want to miss this. I’m currently reading The Great Witch of Brittany by Louisa Morgan, and I’m so happy to be back in Morgan’s unique historical, witchy world. I’m also reading Devil House by John Darnielle, which is beautifully written but kind of slow. I’m savoring the author’s writing, though, and I’ll let you know how it goes.
Other posts this week:
It’s a busy week, folks! In fact I have to double up a couple of times. Monday is the last day of the month, so I’ll be sharing my January Wrap-Up. On Tuesday, I’m participating in Top Ten Tuesday which is books with character names in the title. It’s also February 1st so I’ll be posting my February reading plans, so check back to see What’s On My Plate. Wednesday I have some exciting cover reveals to share in Future Fiction, The Friday Face-Off is “grey covers,” and I’m doing a book haul post on Saturday. I’m tired just thinking about all this, lol.
In case you missed:

Oh cool, I’m enjoying reading his blog too:-)
As much as you have planned you still sound like you have a bit of energy and excitement (at least I hope so). I’m looking forward to the upcoming reviews. And I loved hearing about Moses on the cliff looking for Peregrines, very cool, indeed!
He’s a very good writer, and loves talking about his adventures:-)
Such a cool pic! I have heard good things about Dead Silence, so I am curious about it though never read a space horror and not sure how I would like it.
Have a great week and happy reading!
Stormi
It was pretty scary! Thanks Stormi, hope you have a good week too:-)
Oooh I’m looking forward to those reviews, Tammy! 😀
Hope you enjoy them!
I’ve got to make time to get to your reviews! I keep saving the emails so I can go click on them, but then have no time. You read a lot of books I know I won’t get to but am interested in, so I can decide to add or take off my TBR based on your reviews. Also, always love the bird pictures, great pick to share this week! I’ll have to go check out your husband’s pictures now too! Have a great week!

Thanks Lisa, you too:-)
Well I love space but I’m not sure about the horror. I love seeing your reviews and add many to my tbr from your picks. Having lived in Minnesota a long time and now NC, 50-60s are warm! 50s are the normal avg winter highs here in NC and that’s easy. We are getting more 40s this year and some snow which isn’t quite as easy. But much better than the below zero highs in MN. I remember wearing my winter coat at soccer games in June and even snow in May in MN. But then I have all my nice warm MN clothes yet too.

My husband used to live in Minnesota and he’s talked about how cold it is!
I look forward to your review of Dead Silence. I really want to read The Great Witch of Brittany. Do Morgan’s books need to be read in order or are they stand alones? I hope you have a great week, Tammy!

You can read Morgan’s books in any order. This new one is almost a prequel to A Secret History of Witches, but otherwise they are not really connected to each other. Thanks Wendy!
Thanks for telling us again about your hubby’s gorgeous site. I just subscribed

I’m reading more and more space horror these days, lol.
Yay, glad to hear you have your first 5 star read of the year! I really need to start reading those Louisa Morgan books. As much as I love witchy reads, I can’t believe I haven’t jumped on those yet.
I think you’d love them! They are all historical and well researched and super interesting:-)
Yay for your first five-star read of the year:)). I’m very tempted as I love a good space tale, but right now I don’t think I can handle anything too dark. As for the pic – how stunning! Thank you for sharing and I hope your busy, busy week still leaves you time to enjoy it, Tammy.
I hope you’ll stay (relatively) warm and cozy Tammy! Headed back to hubby’s blog 😉
I will definitely check out your husband’s blog. Great pic as ever.
And a five star read.
Happy days.
Lynn 😀
