Favorite Book Covers of 2021

I’m linking up with Top Ten Tuesday. Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish and is now hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl. Check out upcoming Top Ten themes on Jana’s blog!

I’m using today’s TTT Freebie to talk about covers! Because if you follow this blog on a regular basis, you know that I love a good cover:-) I mean, who doesn’t? Today I’ve picked twelve favorite covers from books I’ve read in 2021. Take a look:

Apparently, I love busy, colorful covers the most. Although there are a couple of rather simple designs that worked really well (the last two). Tidepool and The Ladies of the Secret Circus are more on the moody side, but they’ve both captured the essence of their stories perfectly.

Do you love any of these covers? Tell me some of your favorites of 2021!

  1. These covers are awesome! Clearly, I love busy and bold covers too. I can’t seem to look away from the cover of The Echo Wife and Hall of Smoke. I want them on my shelf. Do you ever buy books just because you’d love to see them on your shelf? I’m totally guilty of that. I sometimes buy books that I’ve already read, because I love the cover of the other edition.

Oh yes, I totally buy them for the cover! I love buying special editions too, although they can get expensive.

  2. Great collection of covers here! Of the books I’ve read this year my favorite covers are probably for The Pariah and Remote Control. Of the covers you picked my favorite is Birds of Paradise. I love covers for how they can initially be enjoyed by themselves as pure artwork. And then I sometimes love them even more after I’ve read the book and have those ties that make the cover that much more special.

I agree, Todd. Once you read the book, sometimes little things on the cover jump out at you that you didn’t notice before. I love Remote Control too, now I’m wondering why I didn’t pick it for this list:-)

  3. I want to read Comfort Me With Apples. Tidepools was good I don’t see many reviews of it (and I didn’t review it either- erghh) and I love Sea. I want to read the echo Wife also…

These are all so beautiful! I am still so taken by that cover for The Forever Sea, it’s just such a perfect mix of beautiful and imaginative and a bit awe-invoking
