Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer:-D
Time for the mad rush that is December. It’s this time of the month that I realize how quickly the next several weeks are going to go, and I just want to curl up in a ball, get under the covers, and read nonstop until Christmas is over. Anyone else with me? Ha ha.
Upcoming reviews:
This month might be spotty when it comes to reviews. To be honest, I’m not too concerned about racing through my books to get reviews up in December. Plus I’m really distracted with the holidays coming up, shopping, getting ready for my daughter to come home in a couple of weeks, etc. You know how it is! Anyway, I should be able to get these two reviews up. Revelator was so weird! But I loved it. Look for a review tomorrow. And to be honest, it took some time to get into A Marvellous Light. In fact, I put it down to read Revelator. But I just picked it back up and I’m hooked! I love when that happens.
Upcoming reads:
I have just started Jade War, and it’s already fantastic. But it’s long, and I’m a slow reader, so I suspect I’ll be reading it most of the week. I’d love to dive right into Empire of the Vampire after that.
Other posts:
Tuesday is a Top Ten Freebie, so I’d love to come up with something, we’ll see. I have some exciting cover reveals to share on Future Fiction, and The Friday Face-Off is “fairytale retelling.”
In case you missed:

I just know your Revelator review is going to talk me into reading that book. I mean, the cover has me half-sold already.

Empire of the Vampire is next for me too:) Hope you like it!! And I do hope your husband made an effort to help that poor fish…
Ha ha he only cares about the shot, not the poor dying fish…
I can’t wait to hear what you think of Empire of the Vampire: IMHO Kristoff’s best to date… 🙂

Oooh can’t wait!
I am a great big Grinch trying to get into the Christmas mood…but this year I feel real meloncholly…miss my mom a lot this year even though it’s been like 19 years.
Have a great week and happy reading
Stormi
Aww big hugs, Stormi:-)
I absolutely know what you’re talking about with that mad rush this time of year. I’m trying very hard to get a little ahead of it, get some things planned out and taken care of before I feel even more time squeeze. I’m not usually one who takes a full 2 weeks off this time of year but I cetainly understand those who do. Perhaps I can learn something from them. 🙂 And I love the detail on that egret eating the fish. They are such incredible birds and very skilled at fishing.
Thanks Todd! I love that photo too. Egrets are so much fun to watch:-)
Ooo yay, congrats on starting Jade War! I started The Liar’s Knot this weekend and I’m loving it.

Ooh, Cursed Bunny makes me think of Anya on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and her hatred of bunnies. lol I wish the weeks would go faster for me. With school it seems to drag! Have a good week!

LOL Yes, Anya! Ha ha. Hope you have a good week, Lisa.
Jade War and Empire of the Vampire are both loooong. Robin reviewed both. I’m looking forward to this month with some Top 10 posts and doing some “free” reading or catchup on things I just want to read.
I’m a little intimidated by both long books, but I’m also not stressing about reading them on a certain timeline:-)
Ha same here! I love christmas but December is always a stressful mess lol.
Love that pic, your husband takes nice shots!

I can’t wait to see what you make of the Kristoff. I have to read it at some point because – VAMPIRES.
Lynn 😀
Work is still kicking my butt so I’m right there with you on wanting to just hide under a blanket and read until the Christmas holiday. I hope you enjoy the Kristoff book. I’m thinking I might try to tackle that one the last week of the year since I’m finally on vacation then. 🙂
