Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer:-D
Hope everyone’s doing well! Hubby took a gorgeous sunset photo this week, so check it out below. We had quite a bit of rain this week which made for perfect photo-op conditions! We also got some hail, which was very weird for California. Otherwise, the week went by like most of my other weeks, lol. I’m hoping Biden’s promise of making the vaccine available to everyone by May 1st is for real, I can’t wait:-)
Upcoming reviews:
I spent a lovely week reading the final book in M.R. Carey’s Rampart Trilogy, The Fall of Koli. This series is pretty amazing, and I highly recommend you start at the beginning. No spoilers, but I don’t think I’ve ever read such a perfect final book. I just finished it and I’m still teary-eyed as I write this. My review will be up tomorrow. Later in the week, look for my review of We Shall Sing a Song into the Deep by Andrew Kelly Stewart.
Upcoming reads:
Oh so many March books still to read…So at this point I’m going to grab whatever looks good to me. I do have a blog tour coming up for All the Murmuring Bones, so that will most likely be the next book I pick up. After that, I’m anxious to start Birds of Paradise and The Lost Village.
The usual memes…
On Wednesday, look out for Future Fiction, and The Friday Face-Off theme is “ruin or derelict.” On Saturday, I have a blog tour stop for Rosie Shadow, a very creepy sounding book! Author Louise Worthington will be stopping by for a guest post, so check it out!
In case you missed…
My posts from last week:

Super curious as to what you will think of The Lost Village, it’s on my radar but not sure if it will be for me or not. Have a great week!!
I will let you know soon:-)
Looking forward to your thoughts on The Lost Village!
I’m excited to start it:-)
I’m looking forward to seeing what you make of Birds of Paradise. I requested it because you previewed it and it sounded interesting (I think?) and I have many nice things to say about it in my forthcoming review.
Looking forward to your review, Ollie!
Ah, so I’m not the only one being deeply moved by the end of Koli’s journey! Looking forward to reading you review 🙂

It really caught me off guard, I was not expecting it (although looking back the signs were there, I think)
I can’t wait to read those reviews next week!!

Another amazing photo! I actually have a good camera but mostly just take pics on my phone these days. Every time I see the Koli books I want to get to them. I have the first one on hold at the library but haven’t taken it yet. Never enough time.

I can’t get over the cover for Birds of Paradise. And speaking of visual appeal, that’s a great sunset photo! 🙂
I agree, Todd. It’s one of my favorite recent covers. And thanks, I really like that sunset photo too:-)
I’ve seen All the Murmuring Bones around a lot recently – can’t wait to see your review!
Me too, I’m looking forward to it:-)
Another amazing photo from your hubby, wow! I really hope the states can meet Biden’s May 1 goal too. That would be so fantastic and a huge step to getting us back to some semblance of normalcy.
I know! I’m so excited to get vaccinated, actually I’m excited for everyone (who wants to) to get vaccinated!
I’m curious to hear what you thought of Song into the Deep. That was a weird one for me…
I’m about halfway through and so far I’m not hating it. It’s very gloomy though! Doesn’t seem like anything happy is going to happen.
Oh my, the picture is gorgeous!!
Thanks Susy, I agree! I could stare at it all day:-)
I too have a ton of March books to get through still.
Such a beautiful photo, the skies have been grey here for too long.
Wishing you a great reading week
Thanks Shelleyrae:-)
I am sooo ready for this pandemic to be past us. I’m glad to see you’ll be reading All the Murmuring Bones. I picked up a copy after reading Lynn’s review. Enjoy!

I loved Secret Circus. It was so good.

Your comments about the final book in the Rampart Trilogy makes me want to read it even more. And yay for five stars for The Ladies of the Secret Circus! I can’t wait to read that one. Such a gorgeous sunset photo. I hope you are having a great week, Tammy!
