Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer:-D
Another month is over? Is 2021 going fast for everyone else too? This was a pretty uneventful week for me. Just work and experimenting with low carb recipes, lol. I just realized I forgot to include a hubby wildlife photo last week, so read all the way to the end for a cool photo! Hope everyone is doing well, staying warm and safe, and reading lots of good books:-D
Upcoming reviews:
I absolutely LOVED Dead Space by Kali Wallace! Wow what fun this was. If you are in the mood for an exciting, twisty, locked room mystery in space, then this is the book to read. Look for my review on Tuesday! And I’ll also be reviewing The Package by Sebastian Fitzek, which I’m still reading but should finish up today sometime. Umm this book is very odd. In fact, at this point I have no idea what’s going on. I’m hoping it all makes sense at the end, otherwise I’m going to be annoyed, lol.
Upcoming reads:
My next three reads are all blue! Ha ha. First up, I am on the blog tour for The Second Bell next week, so that will be my next book. After that, I can hardly wait to dive into one of my most anticipated March books, The Ladies of the Secret Circus. And then I have several March 2nd releases and Forget Me Not is one I’m very curious about.
Book event:
On Friday, I’m helping promote a new thriller that sounds really good, The Poet by Lisa Renee Jones. Stop by to read a short excerpt, and I’m also hosting a giveaway for a paperback copy, don’t miss it! (U.S. only, sorry to my international peeps)
The usual memes…
Monday is March 1st and you know what that means: What’s On My Plate! Stop by tomorrow to see what I’m up to this month. On Wednesday, I have some pretty damn exciting cover reveals to share on Future Fiction, The Friday Face-Off is “war,” and I’ll be doing an Over-Booked book haul post on Saturday.
In case you missed…
Here are my posts from last week, click the links if you missed any:
The Russian Cage by Charlaine Harris – Review 3/5 stars
Sun-Daughters, Sea-Daughters by Aimee Ogden – Review 4/5 stars
Dragonfly Girl by Marti Leimbach – Review 4/5 stars
I’m so excited that you loved Dead Space! I loved Shallow Graves, and I’ve been dying to read something else by her.
She is so good! I haven’t read Shallow Graves but I want to now:-)
I’m reading Forget Me not! I how we both enjoy!
I’m really looking forward to Ladies of the Secret Circus too! Have a great week!
I may start it next, I can’t wait:-)
Nice looking books.
I hope you enjoy and have a great week!
February has been a whirlwind! I’m kinda glad it’s over though, because we’re closer to Spring. 🙂
Happy reading!
Exactly! I’m looking forward to Spring as well:-)
Looking forward to all your reviews! I’m reading The Package too. Let’s see how I feel at the end.

I’m so curious to hear what you think about The Package! I’m still not sure how I feel, lol.
I’m more than eager to read your review of Dead Space, even more now that you describe it as “exciting and twisty”! 🙂

You would love it, Maddalena! Oh so good:-)
I love the look of Dead Space and am anticipating your review with keen interest! And that pic of the bobcat is just absolutely breathtaking… I hope you have a lovely week, Tammy:))
You would love Dead Space, I think! There are some scary bits but it’s worth it:-)
I am hoping to read The Ladies of The Secret Circus after my current read! LOVE the bobcat, what a gorgeous image!
So far the year is fast and slow. Like sometimes I feel like it is moving so fast but then it seems to0 slow to a crawl.
I hope you have a great week, Tammy! Happy Reading!
Thank you Michelle! I hope you have a good week too:-)
Awesome photo!
Thanks Laurie!
Just added Dead Space to my TBR and found it’s the last day of a giveaway so I entered that. 🙂 And that photo… Wow, to actually see a bobcat in the wild, and then to capture it in a photo… Suffice it to say I’m excited for your husband and jealous as well. I’ve yet to see one, though my folks have told me stories of when they have. Perhaps one day. I had to edit my comment before posting, my excitement led to some more colorful words than I’d usually use. 🙂
My husband was very excited too! He’s been looking for one for about 6 months, they are very skittish and tough to spot. I was very happy his persistence paid off:-)
Dead Space looks good! Can’t wait to see your review. 2021 is going fast, hopefully we’ll get closer to normal sooner that way! Have a good week!

I hope so too! Hope you have a good week too!
I love when you include your husband’s pictures! That one is amazing! is it a lynx?
Thanks Sophie! It’s actually a bobcat, which is related to a lynx so you are almost right!
If by fast you mean it’s dragging on, then yes I hope you end up enjoying the package but… I’m glad I decided to wait on it. It sounds… um. Right. Also, so far the Second Bell is really good! I went in with no expectations, but it’s really interesting. Especially with its use of strzyga in mainstream!
I’m still not sure what’s going on in The Package and I’m almost finished. Ha ha that will be a fun review to write!
Dead Space looks awesome. I saw a review for it too somewhere just other day. I need more SF.

I’m looking forward to your review too, Anne:-)
I just started Forget Me Not and then I think Secret Circus will be next. Looks like we’ll have a lot of the same books for March!
It will be fun to compare:-)
The Ladies of the Secret Circus sounds really intriguing!
I agree, and I loved her last book so much, I just know this will be good too.
Can’t wait to read your thoughts on The Ladies of the Secret Circus. I have a feeling that’s a book that will end up on my TBR list 😀

I’m starting it later today so hopefully I can share my thoughts soon!
I can’t wait to pick up Secret Circus. I think Dead Space is already on my wishlist so good to see such positive thoughts.

Oh – and that beautiful Bobcat.
Oh do read Dead Space! I need to talk to someone about it:-)
Do you and your family live on a fantasy island with beautiful wildlife?! I don’t understand how you spot such stunning creatures and, on top of that, take such STUNNING pictures! 😮

LOL I wish we did! ha ha We have lots of areas in Los Angeles with nature preserves, brush, rivers, etc where there are a ton of animals. You just have to be sneaky and quiet and patient to find them:-)
I’m working on finishing A DESOLATION CALLED PEACE in the next day or two, then back to the Spellslinger series for me!

I’m so behind with Spellslinger!
March does seem to have crept up on me without me realizing it. Dead Space sounds really good! I look forward to your review of it. I liked Russian Cage more than you did. I think I was just so happy to spend time with Lizabeth again. I am eager to read The Ladies of the Secret Circus and hope you enjoy it! Have a great week, Tammy!
I do love Lizbeth, that’s for sure:-) Have a great week!
Wow, what a stunning cat! Amazing pic!
I can’t believe it’s March, what a funny year. Have a great week.
Thanks Heather, I love that photo too.
Oh, that bobcat is gorgeous!
Looks like you have a lot of great books ahead of you Tammy! I’ll be looking forward to your reviews.
Good luck with your low carb recipe!.
