SFF Books with Creatures on the Cover – Top Ten Tuesday

I’m linking up with Top Ten Tuesday. Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish and is now hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl. Check out upcoming Top Ten themes on Jana’s blog!

Today it’s a cover freebie, and I’ve decided to pull my favorite books with animals and other SFF creatures on the covers. I managed to find a really good mix, I think, which includes your normal everyday animals as well as some fantastical ones!  Take a look:

Hollow Kingdom by Kira Jane Buxton

Jurassic Florida by Hunter Shea

Bunny by Mona Awad

Sharp Teeth by Toby Barlow

The Sisters of the Winter Wood by Rena Rossner

Hella by David Gerrold

The Bone Ships by R.J. Barker

The Girl in Red by Christina Henry

Untamed Shore by Silvia Moreno-Garcia

This is How You Lose the Time War by Amal El-Mohtar & Max Gladstone

The Secret Life of Souls by Jack Ketchum & Lucky McKee

Race the Sands by Sarah Beth Durst

  1. What a lovely selection of covers, Tammy! I love them all – but perhaps have a special place in my heart for This is How You Lose the Time War, given how much I loved the book…

  2. Oh what a fantastic topic idea! I pretty much love all of these, haha. The cover for Sharp Teeth really jumps out at me, as does Untamed Shore and The Secret Life of Souls. Looks like I have more books to check out!

Ha ha, that’s true, there aren’t any snake covers which surprises me because snakes are EVERYWHERE lol.

Haha- I smiled when I saw Jurassic Florida! I haven’t read it- but it sounds like maybe it’s worth checking out? Also- I love the cover for Untamed Shore but I’m iffy about Silvia Moreno Garcia. I read one of her earlier books and haven’t been able to get past it to try some of her other stuff.

It’s fun, and a quick read. Sort of ridiculous but sometimes you need that:-) Which SMG book did you read that you didn’t like?
