Welcome to Future Fiction, my reimagining of the Waiting on Wednesday meme! There are so many amazing new books coming out, that I can no longer pick just one. My goal with Future Fiction is to share at least three new books each week, a combination of recent cover reveals and books that I’ve recently added to my TBR pile. I’m still going to be linking up with Wishful Endings/Can’t Wait Wednesday, and I also want to give a shout out to Jill at Breaking the Spine for starting the original Waiting on Wednesday meme. Three very exciting new books to share today, here we go!

I was beyond excited when Rod revealed the cover of his upcoming book last week, and of course it’s earned the top spot on this week’s Future Fiction. Don’t you love it? Anyone who has followed my reviews knows Rod is one of my favorite writers, and one of the most consistent writers I know. Even better, he has a deal for the next three books in the series (Golgotha 4-6) with Falstaff Books, so there’s a lot to look forward to! The Future is Yours by Dan Frey. Releases in February 2021 from Del Rey Books. I am seriously getting Three Laws Lethal vibes from this blurb, even though the subject matter of the two books is completely different. I think this sounds amazing!

The Bone Maker by Sarah Beth Durst. Releases in March 2021 from Harper Voyager. I loved Durst’s last book, Race the Sands, and I’m so excited to read something else she’s written. This story sounds fantastic, and bonus, it’s a stand alone!
Oh wow – all of these. I want them all. You’re single handedly breaking my tbr. I need to catch up with the Golgotha series.

Wow, he’s already on the 4th Golgotha book before I’ve read the first… But I’ll get there one day! 🙂 I love the sound of The Bone Maker, and though I’ve yet to read Race the Sands I do recall how much you enjoyed it. It’s still in my TBR because of that.
I hope more people will pick up the first three Golgotha books:-)
Race the Sands didn’t really grab my attention, but I loved the first two books of The Queens of Renthia (I wasn’t a fan of how it all ended). The Bone Maker definitely sounds ,more to my tastes.

I so need to move forward with Belcher’s Golgotha series, having so far stopped at Six-Gun Tarot! On the other hand, having read two of his Brotherhood of the Wheel novels, I know I will not be disappointed no matter what books of his I pick up… 😉

How did I miss the cover for The Bone Maker? It’s gorgeous and it sounds great as well. The Future is Yours sounds good as well but it’s giving me Middlegame vibes which makes no sense because I’ve not read Middlegame. And Man, top spot for sure! I guess I ought to see if Book Outlet has those Belcher books anymore because I think I’ll want this series.

OooOoo Golgotha Four… through six! Can’t wait! I was just wondering whether or not he was done with them. I’ve only recently heard of Falstaff, so I’m assuming they’re new. Hopefully this is just the start of things 🙂

The Bone Maker sounds excellent! I have not read Sarah Beth Durst before. And I am ashamed to say this because I meant to tackle it this year, but I still need to read The Six Gun Tarot.
I say read anything that Rod Belcher has written. He’s an author that deserves way more attention!

The Bone Maker gave me the chills — and I love it! It also sounds like some great worldbuilding in there, and rules of magic. The Future is Yours is impressively creative I think — I am curious as to how it all comes apart for them.
