Waiting on Wednesdays is the brainchild of Jill at Breaking the Spine, and because Jill isn’t hosting it any more, I’m now linking up with Can’t Wait Wednesday at Wishful Endings. Stop over there and link up your “Can’t Wait” book of the week!
So, I just saw this cover pop up yesterday and unfortunately for the other WoW book I had planned today, I HAD to bump it:-) Because when an R.S. Belcher cover is revealed, you simply have no choice but to gush about it:
The Brotherhood of the Wheel return to explore the haunted byways and truck stops of the U.S. Interstate Highway System.
Jimmie Aussapile, Lovina Marcou and Heck Sinclair are members of a secret society dedicated to protecting those who travel America’s highways from the monsters, both supernatural and mundane, that lurk in the darkness just beyond your headlights. They are the Brotherhood of the Wheel.
At home in Lenoir, North Carolina, Jimmie and his squire Heck find themselves drawn into an all-out war between two competing biker gangs. One is led by a rival biker in possession of new found supernatural allies and the other is an all-female werewolf pack.
Meanwhile, Lovina is drawn into a missing-person case that leads to a Pennsylvania trailer park seemingly haunted by killer clowns.
One way or another peace must be maintained and the many roads of America must be protected. But it might just cost the Brotherhood their souls if they aren’t careful.
King of the Road (Brotherhood of the Wheel #2) by R.S. Belcher. Releases in December 2018 from Tor Books. I really loved the first book in the series, and I’m eager to find out what’s next for Jimmie and his friends. And I totally love this cover! Now I have seen two different versions floating around, with the title and author’s name in a slightly different place, so I’m not sure if this is the final version or not.
I love R.S. Belcher. I need to pick up even more of his stuff.
Oh good, glad to know another fan!
That is one kick-ass looking cover. Might be enough to tempt me into a read. ๐
I hope it tempts everyone to pick it up! I want more Belcher fans to talk to:-)
I saw this cover for the first time yesterday and immediately thought of you. I’m not a bit surprised to see it here today. Guess I better get busy on the first one. I have to admit, I think this cover is WAAAYYY better than book one.
I almost didn’t see it, and I really did have another book planned for today. Oh well! I guess I’m happy to hear I’m predictable?? ๐
I wouldn’t call you predictable – I just know where to go to get awesome book recommendations.
What a cover! Going to go say hello on Amazon. I’d not heard of this series before.

I hope you get to check it out!
Wow, that cover is pretty eye catching! I haven’t read this author but will have to check it out now.
I think they did a great job with this cover:-)
That cover is awesome – I haven’t yet caught up with this author but he is certainly on my radar… I hope you enjoy this one, Tammy!
He’s really good, more people need to read him, in my opinion:-)
I haven’t read any of these books, but that cover and description are tempting me to pick something up! Great choice!

I agree, the cover really is tempting!
Is this a suspense or horror series? The cover is awesome but it looks very dark! The first half of the synopsis doesn’t sound to bad but then it mentions “Killer Clowns” so I think I will have to pass!

This is what I would call dark urban fantasy. He’s got a good mix going, though: horror, humor, and heart ( ha ha the 3 “H’s”)
The cover for this series has just been so spot on! I just love everything about this one–from the coin to the overgrown trailer park!
Isn’t it fantastic? I am so psyched to read it:-D
I had to look up the author and saw his Golgotha series and I’m not surprised to see that you were right there gushing with love for it (the only person among my Goodreads friends who read it) hahahah Hope this new one turns out really good! ๐
He’s awesome, if you’re ever in the mood for really good urban fantasy, check him out!
Oh wow, the Brotherhood of the Wheel? I like that. An all female werewolf pack and killer clowns? Seriously, someone wrote this? And it’s Belcher? Yay!!!
Yeah, doesn’t this sound amazing??
This author has a ton of books that always look so damn intriguing to me… I really gotta get around to reading something of his!

He’s underrated for sure, but I’m glad I discovered him in the beginning. I’m pretty sure I’ve read all of his books, and that’s pretty rare for me!
He seems to be rotating through his series, and I’m glad this one’s coming up! I think it’s my favorite of his series so far. Even though I am enjoying Nightwise, I love the “road” setting of this one ๐
I think it’s pretty smart of him to trade off books, I’m sure he never gets bored with three series going on!
AHHHH, how did I not know about this series from RSB??! Brilliant pick Tammy!
It’s soooo good!
This series is new to me but it sounds fantastic!
I really enjoyed The Brotherhood of the Wheel, it had a great cast of characters. Can’t wait to try this one. I love the design of the Indian Head nickel as a full moon on the cover. I used to collect those coins but have never seen one quite like that! ๐
I’m really curious to see how the coin/moon ties in with the story:-)
What a fantastic cover for a series that I really do want to read.

I think you’d enjoy this, Lynn, and yes, I love these covers!
WOAH that moon… which is a coin… which has a head… that’s neat! I hope you enjoy this book when you get the chance to read it, Tammy!
Have a lovely week. =)
