Waiting on Wednesdays is the brainchild of Jill at Breaking the Spine, and because Jill isn’t hosting it any more, I’m now linking up with Can’t Wait Wednesday at Wishful Endings. Stop over there and link up your “Can’t Wait” book of the week!
Another awesome cover reveal last week that I’m sure a lot of us will be sharing this week:
Sarai has lived and breathed nightmares since she was six years old.
She believed she knew every horror, and was beyond surprise.
She was wrong. In the wake of tragedy, neither Lazlo nor Sarai are who they were before. One a god, the other a ghost, they struggle to grasp the new boundaries of their selves as dark-minded Minya holds them hostage, intent on vengeance against Weep.
Lazlo faces an unthinkable choice–save the woman he loves, or everyone else?–while Sarai feels more helpless than ever. But is she? Sometimes, only the direst need can teach us our own depths, and Sarai, the muse of nightmares, has not yet discovered what she’s capable of.
As humans and godspawn reel in the aftermath of the citadel’s near fall, a new foe shatters their fragile hopes, and the mysteries of the Mesarthim are resurrected: Where did the gods come from, and why? What was done with thousands of children born in the citadel nursery? And most important of all, as forgotten doors are opened and new worlds revealed: Must heroes always slay monsters, or is it possible to save them instead?
Love and hate, revenge and redemption, destruction and salvation all clash in this gorgeous sequel to the New York Timesbestseller, Strange the Dreamer.
Muse of Nightmares (Strange the Dreamer #2) by Laini Taylor. Releases in October 2018 from Little Brown Books for Young Readers. I absolutely loved the first book, and I’m dying to get back into Taylor’s incomparable magical world. I’m also curious to see the UK book cover, because honestly, I thought the UK cover of Strange the Dreamer was the better one.
That is a beautiful cover. Cass approves! I’ve not seen this one or Cass would have me sharing the bird.

I haven’t yet read the first book in this series – but I’m definitely planning to! I really loved Daughter of Smoke and Bone and think her writing is extraordinary – so I’m delighted to hear there is another book being released this year:)
I love her writing too, it’s one reason this book was so amazing:-)

It seems like a lot of time, right? But it will be here before you know it;-)
*blushes* You and Suzanne posted about this, and goodness, I am so embarassed to say she’s not an author I’ve read before either. So many books, so little time, Tammy!
I heard about the cliffhanger from book one and I’ve been pushing off reading it until a release date is announced. Lol I’m so glad I can read it soon!
