Waiting on Wednesdays is the brainchild of Jill at Breaking the Spine, and because Jill isn’t hosting it any more, I’m now linking up with Can’t Wait Wednesday at Wishful Endings. Stop over there and link up your “Can’t Wait” book of the week!
I just saw this cover pop up on Goodreads, and this sounds so good!
In this debut novel and series starter, the last member of a murdered House searches for a missing nobleman, and uncovers clues about his own tortured past.
Rune Saint John, last child of the fallen Sun Court, is hired to search for Lady Judgment’s missing son, Addam, on New Atlantis, the island city where the Atlanteans moved after ordinary humans destroyed their original home.
With his companion and bodyguard, Brand, he questions Addam’s relatives and business contacts through the highest ranks of the nobles of New Atlantis. But as they investigate, they uncover more than a missing man: a legendary creature connected to the secret of the massacre of Rune’s Court. In looking for Addam, can Rune find the truth behind his family’s death and the torments of his past?
The Last Sun (The Tarot Sequence #1) by K.D. Edwards. Releases in June 2018 from Pyr Books. I’m intrigued by the fact that this story is about Atlanteans! So cool, right? I’ve requested a review copy of this book, so hopefully I’ll be reading it in the next few months:-)
Sounds pretty interesting and I hope you get your copy!

Thanks, me too!
Strangely enough, I’m really curious about Tarot cards now. They were a major factor in K.J. Parker’s The Two of Swords, and it just really peaked my interest. And yeah, can’t go wrong with Atlantis 🙂
I’m wondering what the tarot angle is, since the description doesn’t really mention it. It should be fun to find out!
sounds fun! I can’t say I’m crazy about that guys eyes though!

Well, the cover is a bit on the generic side, but I’m OK with that:-)
Good luck, I hope you get a copy!
Thanks Laurie:-)
That does sound cool – I like the New Atlantis angle.
Yes, I hope it turns out to be good:-)
This one’s new to me, and the Atlantis angle definitely caught my eye too. Because Atlantis lol. We need more of that. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for this one!

It has potential, that’s for sure!
Atlanteans, you say?! That is definitely not something I’ve seen a lot lately. Hope it’s good! 😀
It’s unusual, right? I think it has a chance of being super interesting, since I don’t think I’ve ever read fiction that deals with Atlantis.
I saw this one in the Pyr catalog the other day, definitely one that stands out!
