Who is your favorite debut author (so far) of 2016? I would have to say at this point I love Martin Seay’s writing. I am reading “The Mirror Thief” for my book club and it is very well written. I am also a fan of Mark Tompkins and want to read his new book.
Her book isn’t released yet, but i thought In the Shadow of the Gods by Rachel Dunne was excellent. Apparently it was also a semifinalist for the 2014 Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award before she was picked up by Harper Voyager.
So far, my favorite debut author of 2016 is Jordanna Max Brodsky. The Olympians was such a fun read, and I’m already looking forward to the next installment of the series. Emily Skrutskie’s book was really good, too. A leap out of my comfort zone in some ways, but I had no idea how much I’d enjoy reading about sea monsters. 😀
Btw, my choice on this list would be The Star-Touched Queen by Roshani Chokshi.

I don’t have a favorite yet. I keep reading and reading and have read some really good books, but nothing that sets my soul on fire (yet).
I’m reading Elizabeth Bonesteel’s THE COLD BETWEEN right now. Space opera (with wormholes and corporations in other solar systems) but focus on relationships and what it’s like living most of your life on a spaceship. Murder mystery with lots of emotion.
So far I would say Kat Howard, Thanks for this chance.
My vote is for Kat Howard, her book sounds incredible. Though in truth all of these do
I don’t know if I’ve read a debut author so far this year but I hear the both The Mirror Thief and Roses and Rot are excellent. Thanks for the chance to win one.

My favorite debut this year was “The Flood Girls” by Richard Fifield.
I am actually not sure if I have read any debut authors yet. Maybe the Bachelor Girl’s Guide to Murder?
I haven’t read any debuts for this year yet. 🙁
