It has been ages since I threw a poll up here on the blog, so let’s have a little fun today, OK? I went back through my shelves on Goodreads and picked some of my favorite science fiction covers of 2015. Some of these I’ve read, and others I haven’t read—yet. You can check them out below, and then vote on your favorite! Obviously, there are a ton of fantastic covers, and I’m sure I missed some of your favorites. Don’t see yours on the list? Well, you can add it on. This is a “just for fun” poll. I don’t have any awards to hand out, but I’m a sucker for a graphically beautiful cover, so today we’re celebrating just that. Here are some of my favorites. Don’t forget to vote below, and let me know in the comments the reason for your vote!
Tough choice ! But I finally voted 😉

I really love the simplistic design of Armada. The colors, the fonts, I would hang it up if it was a poster.

It was hard to pick just one. I was tempted to go by the book I wanted to read most, but made myself choose the cover that spoke to me the most. I went with Barsk. Looked like an interesting world.
Now I have some new books to go check out:)

Whilst I love the one for Armada, Time Salvager instantly grabbed me through its cover the first time I saw it 🙂
I was torn between Barsk and Time Salvager but went for the latter as I have read the book as well – plus it is a great cover and just has a wonderful sense of space and depth to it.
Lynn 😀
This was hard! I went with the Rising, but could have just of easily picked Armada, or maybe Time Salvagers or Illuminae

I went with Cash Crash Jubilee just because I like the whole neon, rainy vibe- seems futuristic. That cover caught my eye earlier this year. My runner up would be Time Salvager, because I love that cover! Fun poll!

Man, that’s tough to choose. Visually, I adore the cover to Cash Crash Jubilee. Art style-wise, gotta hand it to Barsk!

I don’t have much artistic sense, so I had to go with what amused me. It isn’t out until January, but Matt Wallace’s “Lust Locked” makes me grin every time I see it.
I picked Barsk! I love forests and that graphic on the cover is just pure love!
OHH, there are so many gorgeous covers up there! It was actually quite hard to choose but I had to go with Our Lady of the Ice because that is just divine. I hadn’t seen it before today, so it really made an impression on me. The colours and the layout, and just everything really, are perfectly to my taste!

I was a bit disappointed not to see Marie Brennan’s Voyage of the Basilisk here. Her covers (by Todd Lockwood) for the Memoirs of Lady Trent series are among the best out there, and this one is my personal favorite. Hell, the whole book (wraparound cover, heavy weigh paper, interior illustrations intended to be scientific sketches by the memoirist, and shaded ink) is a beautiful physical object.
Well, these are MY favorites. You can add Brennan’s to the poll if you want!
I went for Barsk and was really surprised to see that it was also what most people picked. I think it’s the unusual shape of the trees, colour scheme and different perspective as you don’t generally see covers from that angle. Persona really stood out to me too though.
