It has been ages since I threw a poll up here on the blog, so let’s have a little fun today, OK? I went back through my shelves on Goodreads and picked some of my favorite science fiction covers of 2015. Some of these I’ve read, and others I haven’t read—yet. You can check them out below, and then vote on your favorite! Obviously, there are a ton of fantastic covers, and I’m sure I missed some of your favorites. Don’t see yours on the list? Well, you can add it on. This is a “just for fun” poll. I don’t have any awards to hand out, but I’m a sucker for a graphically beautiful cover, so today we’re celebrating just that. Here are some of my favorites. Don’t forget to vote below, and let me know in the comments the reason for your vote!

  1. I was torn between Barsk and Time Salvager but went for the latter as I have read the book as well – plus it is a great cover and just has a wonderful sense of space and depth to it.
    Lynn 😀

  2. Marian Parsons

I don’t have much artistic sense, so I had to go with what amused me. It isn’t out until January, but Matt Wallace’s “Lust Locked” makes me grin every time I see it.

  3. Alyc

I was a bit disappointed not to see Marie Brennan’s Voyage of the Basilisk here. Her covers (by Todd Lockwood) for the Memoirs of Lady Trent series are among the best out there, and this one is my personal favorite. Hell, the whole book (wraparound cover, heavy weigh paper, interior illustrations intended to be scientific sketches by the memoirist, and shaded ink) is a beautiful physical object.

  4. I went for Barsk and was really surprised to see that it was also what most people picked. I think it’s the unusual shape of the trees, colour scheme and different perspective as you don’t generally see covers from that angle. Persona really stood out to me too though.
