Tammy’s Last Ten Books That Came into my Possession – The Comic Con Top Ten

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, where each week bloggers are given a new top ten topic to blog about. This week’s topic came at just the right time. Having just returned from Comic Con, I was lucky enough to acquire a good number of new books, and I got to meet many of these authors as well. This is just a small sample of what I picked up last weekend, and it was hard to pick only ten. But I’m limiting this list to books that I knew I was going to seek out ahead of time, and I found them! I met each of these ten authors too, and so all of these are signed ARCs and finished copies:

ttt 7-14

Alive by Scott Sigler. This was the only book in this bunch that I purchased, as the others were giveaways. I was so happy to meet Scott, and I’m very curious about this book. Not all my blogger friends loved this, but I’m eager to read it nonetheless. Alive is available now from Del Rey.

Made to Kill by Adam Christopher. Adam is an adorable English gent (oh curses, Tammy! No photos!) and I can’t wait to read this book, out in November from Tor Books.

The Unnoticeables by Robert Brockway. I already have an ARC of this book, but Tor was giving away finished copies, plus Brockway was there to sign them! How could I pass that up? I’m currently reading this book, and it’s CRAZY! This is out now from Tor, and my review will be posted next week.

Walk the Earth a Stranger by Rae Carson. Even though I have an eARC of this book, I was thrilled to meet Rae and get a physical ARC. This book comes out in September from Greenwillow Books.

Blood and Salt by Kim Liggett. I knew Kim was going to be signing ARCs of Blood and Salt, and I couldn’t wait to meet her! She’s been so friendly on Twitter, and I am SO EXCITED to read this YA horror story. It comes out in September from Putnam.

The Veil by Chloe Neill. I tried to get this on NetGalley, but my request is still in limbo, I guess! In any case, I was thrilled to get a copy and meet the author as well:-) Comes out in August from New American Library.

Zeroes by Chuck Wendig. Oh yeah, baby. I got to meet Chuck! He’s super nice and really cute, and I got to see him on a panel as well. I’m always excited to read a new Wendig book! This one comes out in August from Harper Voyager.

Time Salvager by Wesley Chu. Oh yeah, baby. I got to meet Wesley! Ha ha. Another adorable, kind author. Time Salvager is already out from Tor Books, and it’s coming up soon in my reading queue.

All the Birds in the Sky by Charlie Jane Anders. I’m so curious about this book. I’ve heard amazing things about it, and so I was hoping I could nab a copy at Tor’s booth. Luckily I had Preview Night tickets, because otherwise I would not have met her! Charlie Jane Anders was so cool and friendly and she has gorgeous bright pink hair!

Zero World by Jason M. Hough. Oh man. I was thrilled to get a copy of this book! This is another case where I have the eARC, but having a physical signed copy is even better. Plus, I started reading it while I was waiting in line for something AND IT IS AMAZING AND SO GOOD AND YOU ALL MUST READ IT!! Zero World comes out in August from Del Rey.

And yes, I totally suck at taking photos of authors. Plus my camera phone is terrible! Leave me a link if you did a Top Ten this week:-)

  1. So many cool books! Looks like you had a great con. I didn’t go to the exhibit hall once, lol. All my books are from the signings in Sails. Glad you got to meet so many of your favorite authors and get some signed books! Have fun reading all of these 🙂 I didn’t take pics either- my phone was always dying and with so much going on my pictures were blurry anyway.
Hope we get to go next year too!!
