Welcome to Over-Booked, where I’m sharing my recent book acquisitions, and linking up with Stacking the Shelves at Tynga’s Reviews and The Sunday Post at The Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s been a light couple of weeks, book-wise, which is a good thing. I did request two digital titles (Resistance is futile!), and I also got a book for a blog tour I’m doing later in the month. The rest are purchases! Here’s what I have this week:
Purchased:
My dog Otis just had to be part of the photo, LOL! I purchased The Three-Body Problem by Cixin Liu after seeing it on many “best of” lists recently. It’s supposed to be amazing. And I bought a copy of The Islands at the End of the World by Austin Aslan so I can get ready to host him soon on the blog. He’s offered to give away a digital audio book of his latest, so check back soon for that. Finally, my Riot Read book from Book Riot last month was Skylight by José Saramago. I had never heard of this book before, but Riot Read only picks really good books, so I’m betting I’ll enjoy it:-D
Digital ARCs for review:
Dead Boys by Gabriel Squailia comes out in March from Talos. This was one of my Top Ten Debuts of 2015, and I was excited to find it on Edelweiss.
The Damned by Andrew Pyper, releases in February from Simon & Schuster. This book was a recent Waiting on Wednesday pick, and since I didn’t read nearly enough of my WoW picks last year, I’m getting a head start!
Tunnel Vision by Susan Adrian. I’m on the blog tour later this month for this title from St. Martin’s Griffin. I’m getting a superhero vibe from this one!
That’s my book haul, what’s yours?
I got Dead Boys from Edelweiss too, it sounds suitably creepy so I’m looking forward to starting it! I hadn’t heard of Tunnel Vision before but having read the description it’s now on my wishlist 🙂
Happy reading!

I’m really looking forward to Dead Boys:-)
Ooh, I actually haven’t heard of any of these! The Damned looks interesting though, such a dark, creepy cover! Hope you like it 🙂
And haha, how cute your dog snuck into the photo. I didn’t even notice until you pointed it out! 😛
I didn’t even see my dog there when I snapped the photo, so it was a nice surprise:-)
Haven’t heard of these. I hope you enjoy them! My STS

None. I have no new books thus far this year. Even had a chance to hit up the library.
Good boy, Nathan:-D
I haven’t really bought anything lately since I used my giftcard, but those all look fantastic! 🙂

I’ve been curious about The Three Body Problem, but I’ve seen such mixed reviews that I’m hesitant.
Interesting, I’ve seen mostly positive reviews. Can’t wait to find out!
Looks like some good reads, I hope you enjoy them!

Thanks Stormi!
I waffled on Dead Boys when I saw it on Edel too but I don’t think this time I’ll bite. As interesting as the description sounds, I haven’t always enjoyed that Neil-Gaiman-style of story in the past. I guess little hints like that are good warning signs. But ooh, Islands at the End of the World! That one I want 🙂

Yeah, my experience is if you’re waffling, it’s best not to request/download it.
I HAVEN’T GOT ANY NEW BOOKS. *Cries*

Oh rats! Sorry, hope next week you get a whole pile of them!
Hmmm, I’m not familiar with any of the books you have featured here, Tammy! I’m glad you got Dead Boys from Edelweiss, since you really wanted it 😀 I hope you enjoy all of your new books!
Have a fabulous weekend 🙂
Check out my STS post!
