Welcome to the Books, Bones & Buffy Book Review Giveaway, where I try to force convince you to read the books I reviewed the previous month! So, I didn’t write that many reviews, only six, but one randomly selected winner will get to choose one of them. This giveaway is international, provided the Book Depository ships to your country. Last month’s favorite was a tie between Station Eleven and City of Stairs, two very different but equally five-star-worthy books.
Congratulations to last month’s winner…
Carl Scott!
who selected The Martian! (Great choice, Scott!)

My favorite book that I read in August was Marina by Carlos Ruiz Zafón! Thanks for this amazing giveaway – I would love to win!
“City of Stairs” looks really interesting – probably because of the many, many very positives reviews that have been popping up in my feed over the last month or so.
Thank you for making this an international giveaway! I love those!
My favorite read for August was Wherewolves. Yep, I spelled it right:)
My favorite read in August was Gone Girl.
Thanks for The Martian, I’ve had other recommendations for it as well. I can never keep up with the latest books but I’ve heard that 100 Sideways Miles is excellent. It’s up for a National Book Award, I think.
My favourite read in August was The Art of Lainey by Paula Stokes!
My favorite book from September was definitely City of Stairs. What a unique an amazing novel!
Congrats Carl!
My favorite read in September was Feral by Holly Schindler.
My favorite read in August was Upside Down by Lia Riley.
You’re so sweet to do this each month!
Honestly though I don’t remember what was my fav from August or September – the time is all running together for me.
I’m definitely curious about Station Eleven. I’m a little tired of all the zombies in dystopias nowadays, so this would be right up my alley.
Styxx by Sherrilyn Kenyon and Yhe Distance Beetwen Us by KAsie West
Jackababy is one that really caught my eye from your review. I haven’t heard of 100 sideways miles but that cover made me look twice!
Great looking lineup! I especially like the cover of Falling Sky 🙂
Looks like you had a pretty good month! I’ve read/am going to read quite a few books in your list, but Jackababy was a totally new discovery for me.
It was a good month, I just wish I’d had time to read more:-(
The Book of Life by Deborah Harkness
Loved The Kiss of Deception!!
CITY OF STAIRS was fantastic, and easily my favorite of the month.
John Scalzi’s LOCK IN was a pretty close second.
I didn’t read much this summer, but am currently into Opposition. Of your reviews, I am interested in Falling Sky.
Thank you for the great win! I look forward to Station Eleven!
