Welcome to my stop on the Share the Love Giveaway Hop, hosted by Herding Cats & Burning Soup! I love the idea of this hop: instead of promoting yourself, the idea is to promote some of your favorite authors or bloggers instead. Great idea, right? I’ve chosen to feature some of my favorite authors, ones that you might not be familiar with. I’m hoping that you might find a new author to love in this group! I also want to add that these are all authors that I’ve had some kind of interaction with, either via Twitter, book signings, or blog interviews. I know not all authors have time to tweet back to bloggers or answer emails, but when an author does take the time to do this, it’s extra special:)
Here’s how my giveaway will work: I’m giving you the option to either follow these authors via Twitter or become a fan on Goodreads (or both!). One international winner will get to choose a book from one of these authors. Simple right? One other thing: I am trusting you all to actually complete these tasks. I won’t be able to check them, so please be honest!
And now, may I introduce….
Sarah Skilton
Sarah’s debut Bruised came out last year, and her second book High & Dry, another stand-alone (yay for stand-alones!) comes out in April. I’m super excited, because Bruised was one of my favorite books last year. You can give Sarah some love by visiting her blog here, and don’t forget to follow her on Twitter and become a fan on Goodreads! (see Rafflecopter for follow buttons). You can choose either of Sarah’s books if you win, just keep in mind that High & Dry will be a pre-order. Sarah’s books:
Geoffrey Girard
Geoffrey was amazingly nice when I emailed him to ask if he could send me a copy of Project Cain to review. I realize now that’s not usually how it’s done, but I don’t regret it, because I loved the book and the subsequent interview he did for the blog. Geoffrey’s books are on the dark side, to say the least. Project Cain is a young adult book about a boy who has been cloned from the DNA of infamous serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, and Cain’s Blood is the adult companion novel. You can show Geoffrey some love by visiting his website here, and don’t forget to follow him on the Rafflecopter as well! Here are your choices if you win:
Christian Schoon
Christian Schoon is my first of three Angry Robot/Strange Chemistry writers. Because AR/SC are smaller publishers, their authors tend to be more accessible, at least that’s my theory as to why they are so damn nice! I loved Christian’s debut last year, Zenn Scarlett, a young adult science fiction. It ended on a cliff hanger (#$*&@%$+!!!), but luckily the follow-up, Under Nameless Stars, comes out this April. You can check out Christian’s website here, and don’t forget to follow him on Twitter and Goodreads. Here are Christian’s books, and if you win you can choose a pre-order of Under Nameless Stars if you want to:
Jay Posey
Jay is another Angry Robot author, and he wrote the most amazing book called Three. Oh Jay you killed me with that ending! Book two in his series is called Morningside Fall and comes out this April (I just realized that April is going to be a very busy month around here…). You can show Jay some love by checking out his website here. Don’t forget, you know the drill by now! Follow buttons are on the Rafflecopter. If you win and you’d like to give Jay’s books a try, you can select either Three or pre-order Morningside Fall:
Wesley Chu
Wesley had not one, but two books released in 2013 from Angry Robot: The Lives of Tao and The Deaths of Tao, both of which I enjoyed immensely. Plus, Wesley can now call himself an award-winning author, because The Lives of Tao was recently awarded the Alex Award from the American Library Association, an award which honors adult books with teen appeal. Congratulations Wesley! Check out his website here, and don’t forget to follow him on the Rafflecopter. And for your consideration, here are his books:
So there you go! I hope I’ve introduced you to some new-to-you authors, and I hope you considering following them. Remember, one international winner, randomly selected, will get to select one of the books I’ve highlighted in this post. Ready? Go!
