I can’t believe it’s July already, although from our recent heat wave, I guess it’s not that hard to believe. Temps are in the 100’s in Southern California right now, and I’m not talking about the desert! Good thing reading a great book doesn’t require going outside (unless you have a pool or the beach nearby!). July is an exciting month for me, because I’ll finally be attending Comic Con for the first time. I’m doing it in style, too. My twelve-year-old daughter and I will be staying at a hotel by the beach near the Convention Center and joining in the Comic Con madness for all four days. I hope to have some interesting things to share with you when I get back:)
But I also have lots to read this month, so let’s get started. Here’s what I have on my plate:
For Review:
Although I do enjoy participating in blog tours, I went crazy last month and WAY overbooked myself. This left little time to read the books that I’m actually supposed to be reviewing for publishers. This month I only have ONE blog tour, so I hope to knock out most of these titles! Wish me luck:)
Blog Tour:
I’m so excited to be part of this tour! I’ve had this book floating around on my Kindle for, well, seems like forever! I finally get to read it. My tour stop will be on July 19th.
Bookish Events:
Have I mentioned how excited I am about Comic Con? I’ll be in San Diego from July 17-21. Stay tuned for updates and a post about my newbie experience when I return!
Yep, this month is also my Two Year Blogoversary! I completely forgot to celebrate last year, so I’m making up for it big time! What better way to mark this occasion than to have a giveaway or two! Stop back on July 10th when I kick off the celebration!
Blog Hops:
I didn’t participate in any giveaway hops in June, so I decided to come back with a vengeance! I’m still debating what books I will be offering up for these hops, but I promise they’ll be good ones:) If you’d like to join yourself, click on the links below. It’s too late to join the Freedom to Read Hop, but I think you can still join the other two:
Apocalypse! Blog Hop hosted by Love of Books.
Western Round-up Giveaway Hop hosted by MK McClintock
That’s it for me! Stay in touch with everything that’s going on by following me via email, bloglovin’ or Feedly!
Yay for SDCC – can’t wait! And happy 2 year blogoversary! The time went by so fast!! Looking forward to seeing what you think of Starglass, Tammy.
Thanks Lucy! I’m getting nervous about SDCC, just about the logistics, because the son and the dogs will be at grandma’s house. It will be interesting for sure:)
I’m reading Three and Under the Empyrean also! I really wanted to read Carniepunk and Darwin but didn’t end up receiving those. Probably because I never bothered to grab Darwin from NG because I like to keep my approved to complete ratior within 5 of eachother. Plus I prefer to read anthologies in print because its easier for me to get through them that way – don’t even ask me why! I need to know if you love it! I’ll probably buy that one when it comes out! LOL
I know what you mean about anthologies…I like to read the stories out of order, and it’s much easier to flip through a “real” book LOL!
