Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga’s Reviews, and is a great way to share your book haul with other bloggers! I’m being pretty good about staying away from NetGalley and Edelweiss, and I’ve only slipped up a couple of times (!!). I really am trying to be good and catch up. It’s been a very stressful month for me, blogging-wise. And when your blog is stressing you out, you know it’s time to change the way you do things. I’m cutting way back on blog tours, for starters. By the end of this month, I will have participated in SEVEN blog tours (in June!), which means not only do I have to add those books to my reading list, but all those titles that I’ve been approved to read that come out in June are now behind schedule.
ANYWAY! I’m sure you probably don’t want to hear my woes…on to my book haul instead! (Click on the covers to go to Goodreads)
For Review from NetGalley:
The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon. Release date: August 20 2013 (Bloomsbury USA) I’m really excited to see if this one lives up to the hype. It’s written by a 21-year-old and is the first in a seven book series.
Under the Empyrean Sky by Chuck Wendig. Release date: July 30 2013 (Amazon Children’s Publishing). Well, Chuck. He’s my man. My new favorite man (don’t tell my husband!)
Unhinged Chapter Sampler by A. G. Howard. Release date: January 7 2014 (Amulet). I usually don’t go for these sampler deals, because they only make the wait for the entire story harder. But I thought I’d read this one. I’m beyond excited to read this book!
ARC from Publisher:
Three by Jay Posey. Release date: July 30 2013 (Angry Robot). I’m super excited to get my hands on a rare print ARC of this title! I love Angry Robot and most of their titles are pretty darn good.
I also had a chance to pick up some older print ARCs from Angry Robot, because apparently they are moving their U.S. offices and needed to clean house! So I agreed to take a few books off their hands:) I got The Nekropolis Archives, Seven Wonders and Carpathia. Thanks to my buddy Caroline at Angry Robot!
Won:
Dancer Daughter Traitor Spy by Elizabeth Kiem. Release date: August 13 2013 (Soho Teen). I entered a contest from Soho Teen and won a copy of this book. And I do appreciate the nice person at Soho who actually let me know thatย I did indeed win this from Soho! I hate getting books in the mail that don’t give any indication of who sent them.ย Well, I really don’t ever hate getting books in the mail, but you know what I mean…
That’s it for me. I’d love to know what you’ve received this week, just leave me a link so I can check out your STS post!
Nice haul, I was tempted by The Bone Season but I’m so far behind with my NG titles I decided not to even ask! Enjoy your new books and happy reading ๐
My Haul!
Ooo, The Bone Season! I kind of can’t wait to read that book! And Unhinged! Is that the sampler? Or the whole book? Oh it says sampler right there lol. I didn’t request the sampler – I want the whole thing! ๐
Three by Jay Posey… I’m looking that one up. It seems like something I would read ๐
I hope you enjoy all of your books! Have an awesome weekend ^_^

You received a lot of great books this week! I am jealous. I picked up Chuck Wendig’s book at BEA. I am glad I did grab it. I am seeing it everywhere now and hear its rather good.
SOHO Teen has some really good YA books so I love seeing new titles from them on blogs such as yours.
Hope you have a wonderful rest of the weekend!
