Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga’s Reviews, and is a fun way to share your book haul with other bloggers! Luckily, I had a very light week in new books. I’m incredibly far behind as it is, and I’ve been pretty good about cutting way back on NetGalley and Edelweiss requests! Here’s what’s on my shelves this week:
For Review from NetGalley:
All Our Yesterdays by Cristin Terrill. Release date: September 3 2013 (Disney Hyperion). I just hate featuring books that don’t have covers yet, but I’m not sure when the cover is going to be revealed for this title, and I don’t want to forget about it. So, the cover you see is not the real thing. This is a YA time travel story. I haven’t read much time travel fiction lately, so I’m looking forward to it.
For Review from Publisher:
Desper Hollow by Elizabeth Massie. Release date: June 3 2013 (Apex Publications). The wonderful people at Apex (thanks Lesley!) are sending me more and more of their titles, which I’m very excited about. I’ve read several of Elizabeth Massie’s older books, and I’m thrilled to see this new title from her. I think her style is perfect for Apex, and this book sounds delightfully creepy.
Purchased:
I recently made a trip to Barnes & Noble—which I try to avoid since it’s a very dangerous place for me—to find a promotion gift for my 8th grade son, and of course I had to get a copy of The 5th Wave, since I didn’t have it yet. While I was browsing, Hemlock Grove caught my eye, so I picked this up, too. I plan on reading The 5th Wave as soon as I can, if only to a) see what all the fuss is about and b) see why there are so many diverse reviews out there. Will I love it or just feel meh about it?
So, that’s it for me this week! I’m furiously trying to read as much as possible before I go on vacation for a few days next week. Please let me know what’s on your shelves!
I’m curious about The 5th Wave too! Happy reading 🙂
So glad you got All Our Yesterdays! That was my WoW pick for this week – and I am super excited to see it in your post! And The 5th Wave! I need to get that one from the library! It’s supposed to be amazing, right? Good enough for me to want to read it! I hope you enjoy all of your books! Have a great weekend 🙂
Check out my STS post!
All Our Yesterdays looks amazing! I got The 5th Wave last week, but I haven’t read it yet. My mom borrowed it though and liked it a lot!
Have you watched Hemlock Grove on Netflix Instant? I only have a couple episodes left and it’s super weird, but I can’t stop watching!
