The Best Flowchart EVER for Book Bloggers: THE BIG FIVE PUBLISHERS

I stumbled across this amazing flowchart a while ago that shows the Big Five Publishers (Penguin Random House, HarperCollins, Macmillan, Simon & Schuster and Hachette) and their many many imprints, and I’ve been meaning to share it. For bloggers who are interested in all the twists and turns of the publishing world, and how publishers and their imprints are related to each other, this AMAZING flowchart by literary agent Ali Almossawi breaks down the tangled family tree of publishing in a clear and easy to read graphic. It’s also handy as a starting point when you’re trying to figure out who to go to when you want to request a review copy:-DΒ Click here to see the chart!

  1. I’ve seen this one before, and it did intrigue me, but the thing is, I think I’m still too far away from this hidden knowledge of the publishing world πŸ˜€ is there a point in your blogging journey where this starts mattering? Like, who to sign up for or something..? Right now I just… sort of request books, and that’s all. I’m curious how this comes in handy πŸ™‚ sorry for a silly question, of course πŸ˜€

I’m just really interested in publishing. When you start requesting review books it will be helpful.
