Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Breaking the Spine, and is a fun way to share upcoming books that you’re excited about with other bloggers and readers. This is my new favorite novella series, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to read book #3:
The team at Sin du Jour—New York’s exclusive caterers-to-the-damned—find themselves up against their toughest challenge, yet when they’re lured out west to prepare a feast in the most forbidding place in America: Hollywood, where false gods rule supreme.
Meanwhile, back at home, Ritter is attacked at home by the strangest hit-squad the world has ever seen, and the team must pull out all the stops if they’re to prevent themselves from being offered up as the main course in a feast they normally provide.
Starring: The Prince of Lies, Lena Tarr, Darren Vargas. With Byron Luck. Introducing: the Easter Bunny.
Pride’s Spell (Sin du Jour #3) by Matt Wallace. Releases in June 2016 from Tor.com. Sin du Jour is a very, um, different catering company. Even dangerous, you might say. I’m insanely amused by these books, and I just received a review copy of Pride’s Spell, yay! (And have you noticed the theme the author has going on? Envy, Lust, Pride…)
Are you reading this series? Let me know what you’re waiting on!
I’m so jealous about your review copy. I am hoping it pops up on Netgalley soon. Words cannot express how much I love this series and that cliffhanger in the last book – it still has me riled up. The author has such a great premise going on with this series. I don’t know how he will top The Goblin King – but I bet he does!

I’ve never even heard of this series! Sure sounds like a ton of fun though. Thanks for the heads up. 🙂
Novellas don’t usually get a lot of exposure, which may be one reason you haven’t heard of it:-)
Each time I see your review of a new book in this series I tell myself I *need* to start it, because it promises to be the right kind of fun for me!

Try the first one, you might get hooked like I did:-)
I’m with Maddalena – I need to start this series!

I actually have a copt of Envy of Angels, but I never got around to reading it. Everyone whose reading these novellas seem to loving them too
They are so much fun, and very quick reads!
I haven’t read any of these yet. …. Some day!

I’m really interested in this as well! I hope it will have a “fuller” story though, because as much as I enjoyed Lustlocked, it had the feeling of a “throwaway” installment, and if this is going to be an ongoing series I want more complex character arcs! 😀

I liked Lustlocked less than Envy of Angels, and I’d love to see an EOA level story too:-)
The concept of this book is so strange! In a good way. And the covers! They are interesting and eye-catching, and not in your usual “pretty” way. I hope you enjoy this book when you read it!
Have a fantastic week, Tammy. 🙂

I really need to start this series! If they are 10% as funny as Wallace’s tweets, I’ll die of laughter 😛
