Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Breaking the Spine, and is a fun way to share books we’re excited about with other bloggers and readers. Hurray for cover reveals! This cover was recently revealed, and it’s a pretty cool cover (do you see the face?):
Zer0es by Chuck Wendig. Releases in August from Harper Voyager. Yes, more Wendig on the horizon! I love the way Wendig seems to reinvent himself with each new book. He just never does the same thing twice. This book is about computer hackers! Plus, check out the cover, it’s very subtle. Here’s what Goodreads says:
When five hackers — an Anonymous-style rabble rouser, an Arab Spring hactivist, a black-hat hacker, an old-school cipherpunk, and an online troll — are scooped up by the U.S. government and told they face prison sentences or worse, they take the deal that’s offered them: working as white-hat hackers in service to their nation. Forced into an uneasy alliance, threatened by their warring personalities and sabotaged by rival hackers, the five begin to fear for their lives as their orders grow increasingly dark and strange. But it’s only when they discover the truth behind the sinister NSA program that they realize the stakes go well beyond anything they could have imagined . . .
Let me know what you’re waiting on this week:-D
I don’t know, I’ve kind of burned out on hacker stories, but trust Chuck to bring something new and fresh to it. Could be interesting.
Ahh yes, Chuck Wendig – one of your faves! I have still not read anything by him. The shame! I really like the sound of this one; I admit that I was super into The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo when it first came out, and I’d definitely be down for another series about hackers.

Oh yes, this is on my list! Interesting cover, not what I expected at all…but now that I know the description, I think it’s very appropriate.

I haven’t heard of this author, but this sounds really good, great pick! A story about hackers is definitely up my alley.
Here’s my pick: Erica @ Read It. Note It.

Wendig is a machine! I’m finally going to read something of his this week.
The cover for this reminds me of a YA, FIND ME by Romily Bernard, but I still like the style of it. Brings back some Matrix feels.

I can’t wait and thanks for the heads up – btw, I live under a rock so I never have the slightest clue what’s about to be released. I love these WoW posts!
