Lots has happened in the last week with BB&B, but I think I’m up and running again. I have a post coming out soon explaining my recent experience of being suspended from WordPress.com, but in the meantime I’m checking to see if I can post something new. So, just a test, nothing more!

I have two Sci-Fi related top ten posts this month, and this is the first. When Sci-Fi November rolled around, I knew I wanted to celebrate women authors in the science fiction field, because there are just too few of them. Sci-Fi is pretty much ruled by men, but the women who have made names […]
The nitty-gritty: An exciting and worthy sequel, a cast of colorful characters, a brutally violent western, balanced by humor and emotion. I gleefully devoured The Six-Gun Tarot nearly two years ago, and I was chomping at the bit (hey, this is a western, so that metaphor is apt) to read Belcher’s follow-up. I was not […]

Hey, this is my first time participating in Tough Traveling, a weekly event created and hosted by Nathan from the Fantasy Review Barn! I’m finally joining the party this week, because the theme is “Monsters,” and I tend to read lots of books with monsters in them. Nathan’s idea for Tough Traveling is to follow […]
Premonitions by Jamie Schultz Genre: Adult Urban Fantasy Publisher: Roc Release date: July 2014 Source: Paperback from author Pages: 333 The nitty-gritty: A high-octane urban fantasy, full of guns a-blazin’ and dark magic, with plenty of flawed and damaged characters, not to mention a two-hundred-year-old crime lord with a lethal and magical sword. Something pale […]
