Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer:-D
This was a tough week and I’m glad it’s over. And not just for me—my “tough” things are superficial, like really busy at work (stressed out to the point I wanted to quit) and home alone all week on 24/7 dog duty—but tough for the world in general. Sigh.
But hey, it’s February, a fresh start and new books! The hubby just came back from a trip to Calgary and got some awesome photos. I’ll share one below, although there are a bunch I love. I hope everyone has a good week:-)
Upcoming reads & reviews:
Not only did I have a bad week, but that badness crept into my reading, so I barely read anything at all. I started Tartufo, which is extremely slow, and I’m only halfway through it. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m enjoying it a lot, but I’ve set it aside to pick up But Not Too Bold, hoping to finish both in time to post reviews this week. Then I hope to finally pick up The Bones Beneath My Skin and Listen to Your Sister.
Other posts this week:
I’m debating whether or not to do a Top Ten Tuesday post this week, we’ll see; the cover reveals were coming on fast and furious last week, so I’ll share three of my favorites on Future Fiction.
In case you missed:
My posts from last week:
What’s On My Plate – February 2025
At Dark, I Become Loathsome by Eric LaRocca – Review 4/5 stars
Ten New To Me Authors I Discovered in 2024
At the Bottom of the Garden by Camilla Bruce – Review 3/5 stars

Hope this next week is better for you, and that you find some great books to enjoy. What a lovely photo
Thanks, I love the white rabbit in the snowy setting:-)
It’s been a crazy start to the year. That rabbit photo is wonderful! I’m skipping TTT this week myself. Enjoy your books this week!
Thank you!
Superficial things can be just as stressful if not more, because we feel we shouldn’t be stressed over them, which in turn leads to more stress, lol. Hopefully this week, as well as February is better!

That makes sense! Thanks Lisa:-)
This sounds stressful as heck! I hope next week will be more relaxed and better all around!
And the pic is sooooo beautiful!!
Thanks Susy!
I’m sorry for your rough week, and everyone’s horror show that’s happening. I feel like I’ve been on my own always. My dad traveled for work quite a bit and my mom wasn’t always good at managing things. They were good parents though. It’s just that I’m always the one responsible. My reading was less in January because we were watching Britbox instead of me reading after dinner or even listening while cooking. It’s good I got ahead a bit in December.
I guess if the Britbox trial is ending, you’ll have more time to read:-)
I am sorry you had such a hard week Tammy! I hope next week will be better for you! Sending hugs!
Thanks Sophie!
It has been quite a week right? Glad your hubby is back and hope he had a good trip. My reading suffered in January as well. What a cute winter rabbit!
He had a really good trip, very cold but worth it.
Here’s hoping for a better week and better month! And look at the wily wabbit!
Definitely! And isn’t he the cutest wittle wabbit?
Hope you enjoy But Not Too Bold — I really really liked it!
I enjoyed parts of it, it’s definitely unique!
I love the rabbit! I hope this week is better for you.
It sounds like quite a few of us struggled with our reading this past week. While my January overall was good reading wise, last week, I was thankful for graphic novels and manga. That’s about all I could manage. I hope you have a better week, Tammy!
Great pic! Hope this is a better week Tammy
Hope this week is better for you! Cool rabbit pic!
I’m reading The Bones Beneath my Skin this week too.
Wishing you a better week!
24/7 dog duty can be tough! And we love a fresh start. Really looking forward to your thoughts on all of your reading this week, especially for The Bones Beneath My Skin and Listen to Your Sister! I love the rabbit, as well.
I hope your life is back in control with no stress. I know how you felt though.
