I’m participating in Lynn’s Books Countdown to 2025, a fun way to look back over your 2024 reads. There are daily prompts as we count down the days to January 1st, 2025. Here’s what Lynn says about her countdown, and you can click here to see a list of daily prompts if you’d like to join in! I will attempt to post the rest of these prompts, but I can’t make any promises. My goal is to feature books I’ve read in 2024, and I’ll link my reviews if you’re interested.
Today’s prompt: Turkey dinner, a chunkster.
Hmm, I might have to try this one!
It was quite thrilling!
A book of 512 would be a “chunkster” (love that word haha) for me too, tbh. It’s pretty long!
I’m such a wuss with long books, lol.
512 pages is average for fantasy but not for that genre!
Which is why I don’t read fantasy that often, lol.
According to my stats, I only read 4 books over 500 pages this year. And actually listening to a 5th (15H – 560 pages).
This was the longest, with 768 pages:

I was actually surprised it was that long, when I finished listening to it (19H25), which says a lot about the high quality of this thriller!
I love when a long book doesn’t feel long:-)
Oh wow I wouldn’t have guessed this was over 500 pages long. Having just read another review mentioning the graphic bug horror I think it’ll be too much for me horror wise.
Honestly it was too long, but I had a lot of fun with it.
That’s an eye catching cover!
I love the cover:-)
I still need to give this one a go!
It’s harrowing!
I quite fancied this one, even though it’s a bit long.
Lynn
For me, personally, any book that hits over 500 pages is a chunkster.
Some of Meghan Quinn’s books get into the 500 page range and it’s soooooo long! This one still sounds like I’d enjoy it.
