Buffy’s Corner 12/8/24 – Looking at the Week Ahead

Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer:-D

It’s been a busy work week with very little else going on. It’s cold here but no rain or snow. I know lots of people are dealing with serious winter weather, so if you’re one of those people, stay safe and warm! I am going to start decorating for the holidays this week, I can’t believe Christmas is only two and a half weeks away! Have a good week, everyone:-)

Upcoming reads & reviews:

I’m letting myself mood read this month, and I love it! I started The Daughters’ War but put it aside to read Witchcraft For Wayward Girls. I’m going to finish Daughters’ this week, but I was a bit impatient with the slow pace and just wasn’t in the mood. Still, I know this is going to be a favorite once I get into it. Witchcraft was not what I expected but wow, after a slow start it grabbed me and wouldn’t let go. It’s a January release so look for a review next month.

After that, I’m circling back to a December release, The Last One, and then I’ll read another January book, probably Wake Up and Open Your Eyes.

Other posts this week:

I’ve joined in Lynn’s Countdown to 2025, which is a daily prompt to highlight books you’ve read in 2024. I may not participate every day, but you may see these pop up in addition to my regular posts; this was a great week for cover reveals, and I’m still trying to narrow my choices for Future Fiction down to three books! Check back on Wednesday to see what I’ve picked; I may or may not get a review up this week, we’ll see…

Thanks Susy! My husband could care less about decorations but I love them, so I guess it’s just me, lol.

Ooooh I’m excited for your full thoughts on Witchcraft For Wayward Girls! I’m probably not going to post anything this week but I am working on some end of year posts starting on the 16th. As usual, I love the picture of Badger. He looks so happy running around! 😀

Badger loves being off leash, which I am too scared to do, but my husband is training him and is comfortable with it. I’m looking forward to your end of the year posts!

  2. Badger is so cute Tammy! Also stay warm! I haven’t followed the news so I am not aware of the winter conditions you were talking about. Anyway, have fun decorating the house!

  3. Sometimes it’s fun to not have to worry about what books you need to read and be a bit moody. I am like this most of the time…lol. Badger is so cute! 🙂

Have a great week and happy reading!

  4. I didn’t exactly plan it this way, but I managed to make Christmas decorating just a bit easier this year… by not taking my tree down last year. 🙂 I hope you get a slowdown with work, enough to let you enjoy the holidays.

You’ve summed it up perfectly! The holidays are so different without young kids. Have a wonderful week!

  5. I’ve become a massive mood reader recently which I’ve been enjoying. I may even opt for something a little festive soon, maybe…
Badger looks like he’s having a great time in the desert. 😀

  6. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the new Hendrix book. I have an arc of that one as well. I love seeing pictures of Badger. Reminds me I need to add Apollo and Zeke to the blog more often. He always looks so full of excitement.

  7. It was surprisingly cold here all last week. I told my husband I was totally over winter already and he rudely reminded me that winter hadn’t even started yet, lol. Love seeing pics of Badger. He’s getting so big!
