Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer:-D
OMG it’s cold here all of a sudden. Well, cold compared to what it’s been, highs in the 50s and lows in the 30s. I suspect winter is on the way…
I also wanted to mention that Sci Fi Month is coming up very soon (it starts November 1st), and as usual I will be participating. You can click on the image below if you’d like to learn more about this fun month-long event.
Otherwise, things are the same here, not sure if that’s good or bad, lol. I hope everyone has a great week!
Upcoming reads & reviews:
My October reading isn’t going so well, I think because I just haven’t been reading as much as usual. And of course, October is the month with the biggest TBR I’ve had all year. Oh well! Hopefully I can get two reviews up this week: The Nightmare Before Kissmas (super cute, I’m having fun with it!) and The Narrows (pretty good and perfect for spooky season). Next I’d love to read This Cursed House, and then I hope to get a start on a highly anticipated November release, Grimm Curiosities.
Other posts this week:
Tuesday, I’m doing a post I do every October and sharing 25 Horror Books to Read in 2025; Wednesday I have three awesome cover reveals to share on Future Fiction; and Saturday look for my October book haul.
In case you missed:
My posts from last week:
The Friday Face-Off: The Narrows
The Black Hunger by Nicholas Pullen – Review 3.5/5 stars
American Rapture by C.J. Leede – Review 5/5 stars
The pic is so beautiful!! And sorry about the cold!! Here it keeps raining often but the temperatures are stable, at least for now!!
And there really are a ton of interesting books coming out in October!!
Thanks Susy! I’m glad your weather isn’t too bad.
Curious to see what you will read for SciFiMonth!
We have had a few nights in the 30s here, but several days in the 70s by day, possibly 78 today. Weird for Chicagoland at this time of the year

I have started working on my Sci Fi Month plans, and I’ll share them on the 1st. It should be a fun month:-)
That monkey looks like he means business! 🙂 Such a cool pick! It got cold here too I am not a fan.
Have a great week and happy reading week!

Right? His expression is so funny. Try to stay warm!
We are having a very warm October and it looks to continue and no rain. I need to water my gardens. If it’s 10 degrees warmer than normal even if it goes to NORMAL in November that might be a 20 degree drop eeek! Just our mornings are chilly. Lulu will be looking for her sweaters. I’m looking forward to your Scifi reads in November. I can’t believe how fast this month is going.

I love seeing Lulu in sweaters:-) My dog is a cold weather dog so he definitely wouldn’t wear one.
Wow, that’s quite a pose on the capuchin. Great storytelling moment. I hope what’s left of October cooperates with you, and if it doesn’t…. well, it’s almost over, anyway! 🙂
I love this photo too, he looks so mad, lol. And yes, October is almost over:-)
Love that capuchin picture! So cool! I have been having trouble too with my reading, but more that I’m getting bored or giving up because I have so many books I’m behind on that I don’t want to waste time on what I’m not enjoying. We are getting the colder weather here, and I’m so ready for it! Hope you have a good week!

I’m having a similar problem, I have too many books and can’t focus very well. Oh well!
It’s a little colder where you are at. 50’s is what we’re getting at night.
The monkey is too cute. He looks like a little warrior.
Have a great week!

OMG that Capuchin looks like a grumpy old man 😉 And it’s still hot here! Unseasonably so.
I know, his expression is hilarious!
That capuchin looks super irritated! So funny. Looking forward to hearing more about Grimm Curiosities — it’s one I may want to read myself. Wishing you a great week!
Ha ha he does look mad! Have a great week!
Already looking forward to your 25 Horror Books to Read in 2025 post! 😀

That is a good way to celebrate:-)
Hope you enjoy your sci-fi month reading!!

Thanks Nicole!
I forgot about SciFi month yet again, so I’ll just have to enjoy your themed posts! October has been a bust in terms of reading for me – just an oddly busy month.
It was a busy month for me too, mostly because of work. It’s hard to sit at a computer all day and then blog at night, lol.
I love that photo.
Winter is on it’s way although it’s still mild here.
Lynn 😀
