Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer:-D
How is everyone doing? Work is still very busy for me, so my blogging and reading is suffering a bit. I’m trying to keep up with responding to comments and commenting on blogs but I feel like I’m way behind. Otherwise, things are good. Can you believe it’s the middle of October already?? Have a good week!
Upcoming reads & reviews:
I’m really concentrating on my horror books this month, as I should:-) And so far it’s been a very good month for horror. Tomorrow look for my review of American Rapture, which was AMAZING. I’m about halfway through The Black Hunger and really enjoying it so far. I’m hoping to post a review later this week. After that, I’m continuing with horror and picking up The Narrows and The Book of Witching.
Other posts this week:
Wednesday I have some new cover reveals to share on Future Fiction; and I’m definitely doing The Friday Face-Off this week.
In case you missed:
My posts from last week:
Tiny Threads by Lilliam Rivera – Review 3.5/5 stars
Most Anticipated Books of 2024 – Fourth Quarter
Odd Spirits by S.T. Gibson – Review 4/5 stars
Wow, what a photo. I can’t decide if that Jaguar looks like it’s smiling or very angry 😀
Glad you enjoyed American Rapture, I’ll look out for your review.

My work schedule has also been taking its toll on my already strained reading. I can’t wait til November (partly because I’m entirely sick of all political ads and flyers). And that’s an amazing picture! Sadly, hard to repeat as I’m sure the jaguar has mauled and eaten the cameraperson
Looking forward to your reviews of American Rapture and The Black Hunger! 😀 I’m posting my review of Home Before Dark on tuesday. At least I’ll have one scary book review posted haha
And wow, that picture of the jaguar your husband took is AMAZING! 😮

I feel you…my reading has been suffering some this month, too. Funny thing is I don’t feel all that much busier than last month, but I’m just getting through things slower. As for THE BLACK HUNGER, I’m glad you’re liking it! I’ve read 2 reviews for it already that didn’t really feel that way, so it’s nice to see the other side of the coin. I’ll probably start it later this month.
Wow, that is a cool photo!

This month has gone quickly. It probably didn’t help that you were out of your home for some days. I hope that photo was taken with a zoom since otherwise that jaguar is way too close! It’s a great month for you with horror. I just don’t read those, but almost every other genre. Enjoy them!

I am way behind on blogging and commenting too Tammy! Don’t worry! And that jaguar is superb!
That jaguar picture is amazing! I’m with you on being behind, between work and just all the other stuff going on outside of work time. Here’s hoping you and I both get some more reading time. Have a good week!

Gorgeous photo! I feel like I’m always behind when it comes to visiting and commenting too — real life gets in the way! Wishing you a great week.
I know what you mean about the commenting. I feel like I’ve been behind, especially at responding to comments, for quite some time. But the best we can do is keep trying. Hope things get a little more sane for you soon. And what a jaguar photo! 🙂
I work at a school so it has been so busy and time has been flying– next month we have some nice time off, and then there is winter break a few weeks later so I am looking forward to having some time to read and write! I know what you mean about being behind, I’m so behind on my blogging and book reading – I have a ridiculous amount of books partially read!
The pic is soooo beautiful!! And I am glad you are loving your horrors! (I am so curious about your thoughts on American Rapture!!)
Looks like your Halloween reading is going well. Beautiful jaguar!
I hope work calms down for you. No, I cannot believe it’s mid-October! Yesterday, I was in shorts and a tank top, and today, I’m wearing a sweater.
I act like Halloween doesn’t exist so I am reading all the Christmas novels. I even had on Christmas PJs last night.

I’ve also been really busy this month and everything has become chaotic as a result. Hopefully we’ll get back on track in the next couple of months.
